Roads is a Canadian pop rock band from Montreal. Their debut album, Remember Today (produced by Scott Moffatt), is set to launch on October 26, 2010.
Roads, (formally known as Flicker), came to fruition in 2006. For several years, singer/songwriter Garen Jemian had the project on the back of his mind and it was while singing in a francophone punk band, Les Sales Adjectifs, that he met Iris Campo while auditioning as bassist for her band Overseas.
The chemistry between the two was immediate and the creative process was soon underway. They soon auditioned an old friend of Jemian's, now lead guitarist, Alfred Jozikian, to add some dimension to the music. At Alfred's house on that night, an antiquated PC and a modest-looking computer mic were all it took to convince the newly formed trio that they were onto something really special.
It was all the proof Jemian needed to push forward as he put together a handful of songs and started working on a demo. By May 2007, the self-produced record, "The Great Lament", was completed. With great support from their entourage, the album launch was an incredible success and gave the band the momentum it needed to get signed to Indica Records.
Open Programming Language (OPL) is an embedded programming language for portable devices that run the Symbian Operating System.
It can be found on the Nokia 9200, 9300 and 9500 Communicator series mobile telephone/personal digital assistant (PDA) and the Sony Ericsson P800, P900, P910 series. On classic Psion PDAs such as the Series 3, 5/5mx, Series 7, and netBook/netPad, as well as the MC218, OPL is part of the standard application suite. OPL is also included in Psion Teklogix industrial handhelds such as the Workabout mx. OPL is an interpreted language similar to BASIC. A fully Visual Basic-compatible language OVAL has been also developed.
The language was originally called Organiser Programming Language, developed by Psion Ltd for the Psion Organiser. The first implementation (without graphics) was for the original Psion Organiser (now referred to as the Psion Organiser I, 1984), and it came bundled with the Science, Finance and Math data packs. It became truly accessible as built-in software in the Psion Organiser II (1986), and the language went on to be used in the Psion Series 3 and later. After Psion retired from the portable digital assistant market, the project was delayed until 2003, when the fledgling Symbian Developer Program released it as open source. The language is now developed on SourceForge in the opl-dev project.
Open is the fourth studio album released by the hard rock band Gotthard.
The album peaked at #1 on the Swiss Charts and was certified as 2x Platinum for exceeding 60,000 sales.
All songs written by Steve Lee/Leo Leoni/Chris von Rohr except where noted.

The 88open Consortium was an industry standards group set up by Motorola in 1988 to standardize Unix systems on their Motorola 88000 RISC processor systems. The effort was largely a failure, at least in terms of attracting attention to the 88000 platform, and the group folded as soon as Motorola turned their attention to the PowerPC.

"Avalon" (Parts 1 and 2) are the Season 9 premiere episodes of the science fiction television series Stargate SG-1. They marked the beginning of a "new" Stargate SG-1 that continued after the total closure and possible ending of the previous season. Despite seeing the departure of Richard Dean Anderson's Jack O'Neill, it sees the introduction of Ben Browder as Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell, Beau Bridges as Major General Hank Landry, and Lexa Doig as Dr. Carolyn Lam. They also bring in Claudia Black's character Vala Mal Doran as a recurring character, later to become a regular in Season 10, and introduce entire new storylines including further information about the Ancients, their links to Arthurian legends, and their origins.
Lieutenant Colonel Cameron Mitchell is at Stargate Command (SGC) staring at the Stargate for the first time. He piloted an F-302 in the defense of Earth against the attack fleet of Anubis at the climax of season seven ("Lost City"). After his efforts and recovery from his injuries, Jack O'Neill offered him any job he liked, and he wished to join SG-1. However, when he arrives at the base, he finds that SG-1 has been disbanded, a new general is in control, and he is set to pick and lead the new team. The new general is Hank Landry, a friend of both George Hammond and O'Neill. Under his order, Mitchell begins the selection process for new members of SG-1, but can't stomach any of the "terrible candidates". He wanted to work with the best, and he's determined to get SG-1 back together.
We pull into town.
I open my eyes and stretch out.
The four guys around me will always be the guys with the equipment.
The time approaches. The hour is near.
everything else is pit aside for just half an hour.
There is something great that we have..
Its been long to here. We gotta go.
leave this good old town just drive.
and just drive.
That old blue van is redemption.
It gives us kids life.
It houses our hopes and dreams.
The old blue van is redemption for us all.
Please give me one more song, one more song.
let me scream my little words. The words.
Jump around some more Some more.
