Proof of Life, is the second studio album by American rock singer Scott Stapp released on November 5, 2013. It's Stapp's first new material since the release of his 2012 uncensored memoir, Sinner's Creed, which Stapp shared his life story for the first time. "This is the most meaningful record of my career," says Stapp. "I've made a lot of messes in my life but I've learned I can take a mess and turn it into a message. This album chronicles my struggles, my journey and it's the most honest record I have ever written". The album was produced by Howard Benson and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge
Proof of Life has received mixed feedback from music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic describes the album as "something of a travelogue of a dark night of the soul," and writes that Stapp is "at home when he's allowed to bellow alongside massive walls of guitars." Jack Arlin of SPIN said of the album, "it's oddly diverse. Stapp's reputation as a neo-grunge belter may be changing."
Ciara is the eponymously titled fifth studio album by American recording artist Ciara, which was released on July 9, 2013, by Sony Music Entertainment. This album is the artist's first release under Epic, since publicly asking the now-defunct Jive Records to release her from her contractual obligations. The singer cited a lack of label support and financial funding for her previous albums Fantasy Ride (2009) and Basic Instinct (2010). On this fifth studio album, Ciara is reunited with her long-term mentor and friend L.A. Reid, chairman of Epic Records. Reid is credited with discovering Ciara in 2003 along with signing her to his LaFace Records label and executive-producing her debut studio album, Goodies (2004).
On Ciara, the singer is reunited with music producers Rodney Jerkins and Jasper Cameron, who have respectively worked on previous Ciara singles and albums. The duo were joined by The Underdogs, Soundz, D'Mile, Oligee, Josh Abraham and Mike Will Made It, amongst others. Writing contributions come from the likes of singer-songwriters: Wynter Gordon, Livvi Franc and Ali Tamposi, along with a number of contributions from Ciara herself. Rappers Future and Nicki Minaj respectively have guest vocals on the album, whilst Ciara herself is listed as a featured artist on the song "Super Turnt Up", a record where she raps and takes credit for co-producing the song.
Tyla (born Timothy Taylor) is an English rock musician, best known for his work with The Dogs D'Amour as well as an extensive solo catalogue. As well as performing vocals, guitars and other instruments, he also illustrates the album covers in his own recognisable style.
In 1982 Tyla was serving as guitarist for the band Bordello Boys. When vocalist Ned Christie joined the band he brought with him a change of name, which was the beginning of The Dogs D'Amour. On the back of the second of two recording sessions, The Dogs D'Amour were signed to Kumibeat Records in Finland.
The recording and release of The State We're' In was problematic. Ned Christie left the band prior to the recording, resulting in Tyla adopting the role of both guitars and vocals. Additionally, the production encountered a number of issues, most notably the album producer remixing everything to add synths, against the band's wishes. The album was released on vinyl in Finland but Kumibeat Records folded shortly after. The Kumibeat mix has never been released on CD or in any format outside of Finland. A cassette-sourced copy of the original mix has since been released, although has been criticised for its sound quality.
When Bratz was originally released in 2001, there were only 4 characters: Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade. These four were produced in the majority of Bratz lines and are the main characters of the Bratz. In 2015, a new character, Raya, was introduced as the fifth main character. Over 10 years after the debut of the Bratz, over 100 characters were added to the Bratz world.
A list of past and current Bratz characters:
Main Characters
Nobody could believe it
When they saw you with me
Cause I wasn't exactly the man
That they visioned you with
They thought I wasn't good enough for you
But even though everyone acted so fake
Telling me you're making a big mistake
You wouldn't let nothing persuade you to think
otherwise
You're the only one who believed in me
When everyone wanted to put me down
And you're the only one
Who believed in me
Whatever it takes I won't let you down
Why can't they accept me for who I am
I'm so sick and tired of people telling me
How I should live my life
All that we wanted was this bitterness to end
But we knew it wouldn't be long
'Til they tried to tear us apart again
And you're the only one who believed in me
When everyone wanted to put me down
And you're the only one
Who believed in me
Whatever it takes I won't let you down
They love to kick me down
And try to shut me out
And cloud your mind
You're the only one who won't compromise
They love to kick me down
And try to shut me out
And cloud your mind
Whatever they try you won't compromise
you're the only one who believed
It ain't fair for you to be stuck in between
What they feel is right for you and what you love
You're the only one who believed in me
When everyone wanted to put me down
And you're the only one
Who believed in me
