Nicholas Dominick Ryan (born 1949 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish music producer, recording engineer and manager for the musician Enya. Nicky was also manager of Clannad, a group of Enya's family and the band she first performed with. Nicky is credited with first introducing the layering of Enya's voice, creating Enya's distinctive style.
In the Seventies and Eighties Nicky was highly regarded as a live sound engineer working with artists such as Gary Moore, Planxty and Christy Moore. He also worked as a teacher at St. Mary's School For Deaf Girls, where he experimented with sound engineering, to allow the pupils to feel the bass in the music more.
He worked with the Irish group Clannad as sound engineer from 1975 and then manager from 1976, inviting Eithne (Enya) to join in 1979. Nicky and Eithne left Clannad in 1982, shortly after the completion of the album Fuaim.
Enya and Nicky now have their own studio, Aigle Music, in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland. Nicky Ryan is also married to Enya's lyricist Roma Ryan.

Logical symbols representing iff
In logic and related fields such as mathematics and philosophy, if and only if (shortened iff) is a biconditional logical connective between statements.
In that it is biconditional, the connective can be likened to the standard material conditional ("only if", equal to "if ... then") combined with its reverse ("if"); hence the name. The result is that the truth of either one of the connected statements requires the truth of the other (i.e. either both statements are true, or both are false). It is controversial whether the connective thus defined is properly rendered by the English "if and only if", with its pre-existing meaning. There is nothing to stop one from stipulating that we may read this connective as "only if and if", although this may lead to confusion.
In writing, phrases commonly used, with debatable propriety, as alternatives to P "if and only if" Q include Q is necessary and sufficient for P, P is equivalent (or materially equivalent) to Q (compare material implication), P precisely if Q, P precisely (or exactly) when Q, P exactly in case Q, and P just in case Q. Many authors regard "iff" as unsuitable in formal writing; others use it freely.
Only If... is a pop song by the Irish artist Enya. It was released along with her first greatest hits compilation Paint the Sky with Stars on 3 November 1997. It charted in several countries and its video was noted for its creative direction.
When there's a shadow, you reach for the
sun.
When there is love, then you look for
the one.
And for the promises, there is the sky.
And for the heavens are those who can
fly.
Chorus:
If you really want to, you can hear me
Only if you want to will you find a way.
If you really want to you can seize the
day.
Only if you want to will you fly away.
Da da da da, da da da da da.
da da da da, da da da da da,
da da da da.
When there's a journey, you follow a
star.
When there's an ocean, you sail from
afar.
And for the broken heart, there is the
sky.
And for tomorrow are those who can
fly.
Chorus
Da da da da, da da da da da.
da da da da, da da da da da,
da da da da.
Ooh go doe bay mwa.
Ooh go doe bay mwa.
Chorus
Ah! Je voudrai voler comme un oiseau
d'aile
Ah! Je voudrai voler comme un oiseau
d'aile,
d'aile...
Ooh go doe bay mwa.
Ooh go doe bay mwa.
Chorus
If you really want to you can seize the
day.
