Pax or PAX may refer to:
PAX217 was a Christian Alternative rock band from Orange County, California. The band's music was well known in the underground Christian scene at the time for its unique sound and optimistic lyrics. The name comes from "Pax" which is Latin for "peace" and the Bible verse Ephesians 2:17. The band's style consists of a mix of punk rock and rap with some reggae influences. PAX217's lineup consisted of David Tosti on vocals, Jesse Craig on guitar, Josh Auer on bass and Joey Marchiano on drums. Former members include "Tito" on keyboards, Bobby "Bobbito the Chef" Duran as disc jockey, Ethan Luck on guitar, Dan Sessum on guitar, and David Tosti's younger brother Aaron "Skwid" Tosti on drums, who eventually played in Hawk Nelson. The band began in 1999 and broke up in 2005.
PAX217 was similar in sound to 311, Skindred, Christian rock peers Earthsuit and P.O.D. PAX217 released two albums: Twoseventeen (2000) and Engage (2002), and was signed to Forefront Records. They also released an EP titled Check Your Pulse in 2004 independently. Dave Tosti's rapping was compared to that of fellow Christian rocker Sonny Sandoval. Former members include "Tito" on keyboards, Bobby "Bobbito the Chef" Duran as disc jockey, Ethan Luck on the guitar or drums, Dan Sessum on guitar, Frank Ortiz (lead vocals), and Lance Lathrop on drums. The band members (except David Tosti) went on to form the pop punk band Avner. David Tosti is now pursuing photography, covering primarily weddings, engagements, and some editorial work. The name of his company is TOSTI STUDIOS.

The first manager was Tor Bjerkmann, who chaired the company from 1964 to 1972.
Starting with Bjerkmann's new translation of George Orwell's Animal Farm, Pax published 150 quality paperback editions during its first three years of operation.

Elfonda Mekel (born 21 May 1970), better known by his stage name Once ([ˈɔntʃə], pronounced Ohn-chè), is an Indonesian singer and former lead vocalist of Dewa 19.
Once was born Elfonda Mekel in Ujung Pandang, South Sulawesi, on 21 May 1970. He began singing while attending junior high school at Tirta Marta Junior High School; he also learned how to play the drums, piano, and guitar. He eventually began participating in singing competitions, including an inter-high school competition in Jakarta.
After graduating from Tirta Mirta Senior High School, Once joined numerous bands. His first bands, Brawijaya and Dimensi, were cover bands. After joining Java Burns, he began singing songs he had written himself; he eventually provided a song for the compilation album Seribu Angan (A Thousand Dreams) in the early 1990s.
Due to a problem with his voice box, Once took a hiatus from singing between 1993 and 1997. He used this time to study law at the University of Indonesia, graduating in 1996. He also worked for a construction company.
"Once" is a song by the American rock band Pearl Jam. Featuring lyrics written by vocalist Eddie Vedder and music written by guitarist Stone Gossard, "Once" is the first track on the band's debut album, Ten (1991). On Ten, it is preceded by a brief interlude of the album's closing hidden track, "Master/Slave". Besides Ten, the song was also featured as a B-side on the single for "Alive". Remixed versions of the song were included on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003), and the 2009 Ten reissue. The song is one of the band's heaviest compositions to date.
"Once" features lyrics written by vocalist Eddie Vedder and music written by guitarist Stone Gossard. The song originated as an instrumental demo titled "Agyptian Crave" that was written by Gossard in 1990. The instrumental was one of five songs compiled onto a tape called Stone Gossard Demos '91 that was circulated in the hopes of finding a singer and drummer for the group.
The Thief and the Cobbler is an animated fantasy film directed, co-written and co-produced by Canadian animator Richard Williams. The film is famous for its long, troubled history. Due to independent funding and complex animation, The Thief and the Cobbler was in and out of production for over two decades. It was finally placed into full production in 1988 when Warner Bros. agreed to finance and distribute the film. Negotiations broke down when production went over budget and behind schedule. Warner Bros. pulled out and a completion bond company assumed control of the film. The film was re-edited and restructured by producer Fred Calvert without Williams's involvement, and released in Australia and South Africa as The Princess and the Cobbler in 1993; two years later, Miramax released an even more heavily edited version of the film in North America under the title Arabian Knight.
With The Thief and the Cobbler being in production from 1964 until 1995, a total of 31 years, it surpassed the 20-year Guinness record by Tiefland (1954). This was, upon release, the last film of Kenneth Williams, who died in 1988, Sir Anthony Quayle, who died in 1989, and Vincent Price, who died in 1993. This is also, to date, the final film to feature Stanley Baxter.
