Oliver James Davis (born May 24, 1993) is a former American child actor. He is perhaps best known for originating the role of Alex, the son of Nurse Samantha Taggart, on ER. More recently, Davis portrayed the older son on Rodney.
Davis, born in Los Angeles, California, has also appeared in commercials for the Sylvan Learning Center. He lives with his parents and his older sister Morgan who is also an actress.
A TV Guide column published online on January 20, 2006 noted that Davis lost the role of Alex in ER because the show's producers were tired of having to work around his Rodney schedule. Davis was replaced by Dominic Janes.
Oliver attends Santa Barbara High School in Southern California.

Davis studied at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 1994. He has since composed and produced albums, soundtracks, concertos and television scores working with London orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra.
Oliver Davis set up We Write Music in 1997 after graduating from the Royal Academy of Music. He has since gone on to compose international advertising campaigns, feature films, TV dramas and 15 TV series. Oliver has also written many works for the stage and concert hall including the ballet 'Within the Hours' performed by The Royal Ballet and 'Flight', a concerto for Violin and Strings.
Oliver Davis (born August 29, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 1977 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee State.
Davis also played for the Cincinnati Bengals.
