State Route 53 is a north–south state highway in the U.S. state of Ohio, generally oriented in the north–south direction. Its southern terminus is at the beginning of the U.S. 68/S.R. 67 concurrency in Kenton, Ohio, and its northern terminus is on Catawba Island in Ottawa County, north of Port Clinton.
From Kenton, State Route 53 moves northeast to Forest, then continues eastward to Upper Sandusky. It then moves north through the small towns of Tymochtee and McCutchenville before entering Tiffin. The route then moves due north to Fremont, where it joins a four-route bypass around the city with U.S. Routes 6 and 20 and State Route 19. From its northern bypass interchange, it continues on a northeast heading, following the northern coastline of Sandusky Bay to Port Clinton, where it joins State Route 2 on a bypass around that city. From its eastern bypass interchange, State Route 53 heads north onto Catawba Island.
State Route 53 was an original state highway which stretched from the Ohio River at Higginsport to Port Clinton. The route followed that of current State Route 221 to Georgetown, then followed the route currently followed by U.S. Route 68 to Kenton, then along its current route into Port Clinton. The route entered Port Clinton and truncated at State Route 163.

State Route 53 (SR 53) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known as Thomas Jefferson Parkway, the state highway runs 18.32 miles (29.48 km) from SR 20 near Charlottesville east to U.S. Route 15 (US 15) in Palmyra. SR 53 connects the county seats of Albemarle and Fluvanna counties. The state highway also provides access to the community of Lake Monticello and Monticello, the estate of Thomas Jefferson. The route of SR 53 became a state highway in 1930; the highway receives its present designation in 1947.
SR 53 begins at an intersection with SR 20 (Scottsville Road) a short distance south of SR 20's interchange with Interstate 64 in Albemarle County just south of the independent city of Charlottesville. The state highway heads east and begins to ascend Carters Mountain, which is part of the Southwest Mountains. Just west of Michie Tavern, SR 53 becomes curvaceous as it continues to its summit between Monticello to the east and Montalto, also known as the Mountaintop Farm and Patterson Mountain, to the west. A two-way ramp connects SR 53 with the Monticello access road, which passes over the state highway.
New York State Route 53 (NY 53) is a north–south state highway located in the Finger Lakes region of New York in the United States. It extends for 22.50 miles (36.21 km) from an intersection with NY 415 near the hamlet of Kanona in northern Steuben County to a junction with NY 21 in the village of Naples in southern Ontario County. Just north of Kanona, located within the town of Bath, NY 53 connects to the Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86 or I-86 and NY 17). About midway between Kanona and Naples, the route serves the hamlet of Prattsburgh.
When NY 53 was assigned as part of the 1930 renumbering of state highways in New York, it extended from Kanona in the south to the Canandaigua area in the north, utilizing what is now NY 247 north of Potter. At the same time, the piece of what is now NY 53 from Prattsburgh to Naples became NY 247. NY 53 was realigned onto its modern alignment from Prattsburgh to Naples in the early 1940s. NY 247, supplanted by the realignment, was reassigned to NY 53's former routing north of Potter.

SR 569 was a state route in Williams County connecting US 127 in Jefferson Township to US 20 in Madison Township. In the community of Kunkle, SR 569 intersected a now-defunct segment of SR 246. The route existed from 1938 until 1955 when the entire road became a part of Williams County Road 13.
SR 570 was a state-maintained section of Neowash Road in southern Lucas County. The four-mile-long (6.4 km) route connected SR 295 in Providence Township and US 24 southwest of Waterville. The route existed from 1937 until 1961. Today, Neowash Road is signed as Lucas County Road 143.
SR 571 was a former state route in Bridgewater Township, Williams County connecting US 20 and the Michigan state line. The four-mile-long (6.4 km) route existed from 1937 until 1955. The road itself is still a state highway as SR 576 was signed on the entire route after being extended from Montpelier.
State Route 850 (SR 850) is a north–south state highway in southeastern Ohio, a U.S. state. Its southern terminus is at SR 588 in the hamlet of Rodney, which is west of Gallipolis. SR 850's northern terminus is at SR 554 in Bidwell. The route has an interchange with U.S. Route 35 (US 35), but otherwise intersects with no other numbered routes.
All of SR 850 runs within Gallia County. The route is not inclusive within the National Highway System.
SR 850 was created in 1995 along its current routing between SR 588 and SR 554, designated in approximately the same timeframe that the US 35 freeway was completed east of Rio Grande. No significant changes have taken place to the highway's routing since its designation.

Route 53 is a highway in southeastern Missouri. Its northern terminus is at Business U.S. Route 67/U.S. Route 160 in Poplar Bluff. Its southern terminus is at Route 25 in Holcomb.
Route 53 is one of the original state highways and has remained essentially unchanged since 1922.
