Oh Yeah (Chickenfoot song)

"Oh Yeah!" is the first single and fourth track from rock band Chickenfoot's debut album Chickenfoot. It was released on 13 April 2009.

In a video on the band's website, Joe Satriani said it was "the typical Chickenfoot arrangement where the song starts out with a riff and the band kicks in, then going on all these changes and when the main riff starts again, the listeners have forgotten it because of the musical journey". He also told that it got started very simple with him and Sammy talking about old blues songs and artists, and that it would be great if they could fuse what they did naturally as a band with old blues songwriting.

Music video

The music video for the single premiered at YouTube on June 11, 2009. The video shows the band performing on a scene and in a studio. There are also shots of the band playing at a basketball court. Satriani made a joke about that the video would win many awards as "best barbecue video".

Oh Yeah (Yello song)

"Oh Yeah" is a single released in 1985 by the Swiss band Yello and featured on their album Stella. In 1986, it reached No. 51 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and No. 36 on the US dance charts. The single peaked at No. 9 in Australia in October 1988.

The song features a mix of electronic music and manipulated vocals. The song gained popularity after being featured in the films Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Secret of My Success. Its 1987 re-released version features the extra lyrics: "such a good time / a really good time". A remix of the song, entitled, "Oh Yeah Oh Six" went to No. 1 on the US dance charts in 2006.

Writing about the use of the song in 1986's Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Jonathan Bernstein said, "Never a hit, this slice of Swiss-made tomfoolery with its varispeed vocal effects and driving percussion was first used by John Hughes to illustrate the mouthwatering must-haveness of Cameron's dad's Ferrari. Since then, it has become synonymous with lust. Every time a movie, TV show or commercial wants to underline the jaw-dropping impact of a hot babe or sleek auto, that synth-drum starts popping and that deep voice rumbles, 'Oh yeah . . .'". Oh Yeah (Rottin Razkals song)

"Oh Yeah" was the first single released from Rottin Razkals debut album, Rottin ta da Core. It was released on February 17, 1995, and was both written and produced by the Razkals' mentors, Naughty by Nature. This single was the most successful of the two singles released from the album, finding its best success on the Hot Rap Singles peaking at 14.

The Dukes

The Dukes is an American animated series which ran on CBS in 1983, based directly on the live-action television series The Dukes of Hazzard. The show was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, producer of the original series.

Plot

The show features the Duke boys and their cousin Daisy in an automobile race around the world against Boss Hogg, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, and Rosco's dog Flash in a duel for the prize money which the Dukes hope to use to keep the family farm from being foreclosed by Boss Hogg. Actually, Boss Hogg wants the money and the land for himself so he alongside Rosco and Flash plan various schemes to keep the Dukes from winning. Most of the adventures are read from a post card by Uncle Jesse Duke to his pet raccoon Smokey.

The first season took place during the period of the live-action show's replacement of the original actors with similar characters, Coy and Vance Duke, after the actors playing Bo and Luke walked out over a dispute about royalties. Thus, the first season of this animated series featured Coy and Vance. Bo and Luke eventually replaced Coy and Vance in Season 2 Episode 1 (14): "Boss O'Hogg and the Little People". This episode also featured a new introduction and voice over that reflected the change in characters.

The Dukes (band)

The Dukes were a British band formed in the late 1970s. The members included singer Miller Anderson, guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, Ronnie Leahy and bassist Charles Tumahai. They toured supporting Wishbone Ash and recorded one album. The band broke up soon after McCulloch died of an overdose.

The Dukes (or the group of musicians that would become The Dukes) also recorded demos with Mick Taylor in 1976. They went on to be backing band for Donovan on a world tour with Yes.

The Dukes were an Australian rock band active from 1991 to 1994. Initially called Sean Kelly and the Iron Dukes, they were formed by Sean Kelly (ex-Models, Absent Friends) on vocals and keyboards; and Geoffrey Stapleton (GANGgajang, Absent Friends) on keyboards and guitar. They were soon joined by Michael Armiger (Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls, The Go-Betweens) on bass guitar; Michael King (Absent Friends) on guitar and backing vocals; and John Mackay (Absent Friends) on drums and percussion.

Biography

The band were originally called Sean Kelly and The Iron Dukes, but were renamed shortly after to The Dukes. The band was formed by Sean Kelly (Models) and Geoffrey Stapleton (GANGgajang) following their return to Sydney in 1991 after the completion of a European tour, supporting INXS, with their previous band Absent Friends. The original members of the Iron Dukes were Kelly, Stapleton, Michael Armiger (Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls, The Go-Betweens), Michael King (Absent Friends) and John Mackay (Absent Friends). Other band members were bass player Peter Willersdorf, drummer Tony Georgeson, Mark Dennison (DD Smash) on saxophone and occasional keyboard and Kevin Dubber (DD Smash) on trumpet. In 1992 they signed with Sony Music.
