Odd Crew is a Bulgarian metal band from Sofia (Bulgaria), formed in 1998. The band consists of vocalist Vasil Raykov, guitarist Vasil Parvanovski, bassist Martin Stoyanov and drummer Boyan "Bonzy" Georgiev.
Odd Crew was formed on 1 August 1998 by four kids around the age of 10. The band was originally called "Kaskadiori" (translated "Stuntmen"). They chose the name because they had a car accident on the way to the studio. One year after their formation the band recorded its first album - "And It's Rock Again". The album was released in the spring of year 2000.
In 2001 Kaskadiori joins the blues band of Vasko "The Patch" and tours with him in the next several years. During this period they continue writing songs and in 2005 they release the album "On the Road". In 2006 they release another album called "The River of Time".
As the members of the band grew up they started writing heavier songs which quite differed from the past melody rock material. They gradually adopted music as a lifestyle and started using it as way to express themselves and talk to society. At that time the members of the band decided to substitute their present name (Kaskadiori) with another one which better reflected their new ideas about making music. On 1 August 2008 the band had a concert to celebrate their birthday and announced their new name - Odd Crew. Later that year Odd Crew released the album "We Are What We Are". Suddenly the band attracted a lot of fans who shared their ideas and vision about united society having music as lifestyle.
Odd is the fourth Korean studio album (seventh overall) by South Korean boy group Shinee. It was released digitally and physically on May 18, 2015. The repackaged album, Married to the Music, was released on the August 3, 2015 with 4 additional songs.
Shinee worked alongside director Min Hee Jin who has been with them since their debut and is known for his visually impactful teasers. The style of clothing for the albums concept sport a comfortable and refreshing vibe, displaying the merits of loose T-shirts and denim shorts most likely to match the R&B vibe. Breaking away from their powerful and precise choreography, the choreography of "View", which was choreographed by Ian Eastwood, brings about a groove style, and they showcase the teamwork and inner strength of an experienced 7-year-old group.
Shinee's fourth full-length album was digitally and physically on May 18, 2015 and is the group's first Korean release after a two-year hiatus. On May 21, the group began their promotions for the title song "View" on music shows, starting with Mnet's M! Countdown and followed by KBS's Music Bank, MBC's Show! Music Core and SBS's Inkigayo. As part of the promotion, the group members also guested on several variety shows including Hello Counselor, Saturday Night Live Korea and Non-Summit They also appeared on fellow member Jonghyun's radio show, Blue Night. "Odd" also marks the 7th anniversary of Shinee's debut therefore making it more meaningful for the group. Member Onew stated:
Odd, a name of Old Norse origin (Oddr), the 11th most common male name in Norway. It is rarely used in other countries, though sometimes appearing in other Nordic countries. In old Norse the word means sharp end of an arrow or edge of blade.
Oddur is an Icelandic and Faroese form of the name.
As a curiosity, note that Even is also a common male name in Norway.
The Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) is a text-centric community of practice in the academic field of digital humanities, operating continuously since the 1980s. The community currently runs a mailing list, meetings and conference series, and maintains an eponymous technical standard, a journal, a wiki, a SourceForge repository and a toolchain.
The TEI Guidelines, which collectively define an XML format, are the defining output of the community of practice. The format differs from other well-known open formats for text (such as HTML and OpenDocument) in that it's primarily semantic rather than presentational; the semantics and interpretation of every tag and attribute are specified. Some 500 different textual components and concepts (word, sentence, character, glyph, person, etc.); each is grounded in one or more academic discipline and examples are given.
The standard is split into two parts, a discursive textual description with extended examples and discussion and set of tag-by-tag definitions. Schemata in most of the modern formats (DTD, RELAX NG and W3C Schema) are generated automatically from the tag-by-tag definitions. A number of tools support the production of the guidelines and the application of the guidelines to specific projects.
A crew is a body or a class of people who work at a common activity, generally in a structured or hierarchical organization. A location in which a crew works is called a crewyard or a workyard. The word has nautical resonances: the tasks involved in operating a ship, particularly a sailing ship, providing numerous specialities within a ship's crew, often organised with a chain of command. Traditional nautical usage strongly distinguishes officers from crew, though the two groups combined form the ship's company. Members of a crew are often referred to by the title Crewman.
Crew also refers to the sport of rowing, where teams row competitively in racing shells.
Crew is used colloquially to refer to a small, tight-knit group of friends or associates engaged in criminal activity. Also used in reference to the traditional "unit" of criminals under the supervision of a caporegime in the American Mafia. However, the term is not specific to (Mafia-affiliated) organized crime. Crew can also refer simply to a group of friends, unrelated to crime or violence.
Crew, the first regular Czech international comic magazine, started publication in 1997. It was meant to be published every two months, but it started having long breaks after the first year. Officially publication ended in 2003 with Crew 21.
Not to be confused with the English word "crew," the name of the magazine was a pun on the word blood (Czech: krev) as the magazine wished to portray "bloody" comics alongside others.
It ran for quite some time under the team of Štěpan Kopřiva, Jiří Pavlovský and Petr Litoš. But issues 17–21 were done by Vladimír Veverka. After the collapse of the original magazine, Litoš, Kopřiva and Pavlovský began to publish a new magazine — Crew2. Nineteen issues have been published to date (first issue published 2003, latest 2007). The Crew under Veverka was visibly less popular with the long-time fans, although it had its own following.
Crew was the only magazine to officially publish international comics after the 90's comics wave within the Czech republic. It has been criticized for not publishing Czech comics, which was redeemed partly by local magazines, such as Pot.
Crewe or Crew is a surname of Old Welsh origin.
What is like to stay?
Watching others pain,
Smiling happy as they crawl.
What is like to be?
Watching but not see.
Death has chained your neck as well.
So take your last smile
Down to the grave.
Over the hell pyre,
I wish you well.
See the all-seeing eye
Start to realize.
Don’t you thing it’s time to pray?
Don’t you feel the heat?
Pyre burns your feet.
Don’t you thing it’s late to pray?
Chorus
All your sins fuel the fire,
Burning you flesh to death.
All your hate fuels the fire.
Why don’t you smile again?
Fight in vain for forgiveness
Six feet inside the grave.
Fight in vain when you’re breathless,
Now can you feel their pain?
