Obsolescence

Obsolescence is the state of being which occurs when an object, service, or practice is no longer wanted even though it may still be in good working order. Obsolescence frequently occurs because a replacement has become available that has, in sum, more advantages than the inconvenience related to repurchasing the replacement. Obsolete refers to something that is already disused or discarded, or antiquated. Typically, obsolescence is preceded by a gradual decline in popularity.

Consequences

Driven by rapid technological changes, new components are developed and launched on the market with increasing speed. The result is a dramatic change in production methods of all components and their market availability. A growing industry sector is facing issues where life cycles of products no longer fit together with life cycles of required components. This issue is known as obsolescence, the status given to a part when it is no longer available from its original manufacturer. The problem of obsolescence is most prevalent for electronics technology, wherein the procurement lifetimes for microelectronic parts are often significantly shorter than the manufacturing and support life cycles for the products that use the parts. However, obsolescence extends beyond electronic components to other items, such as materials, textiles, and mechanical parts. In addition, obsolescence has been shown to appear for software, specifications, standards, processes, and soft resources, such as human skills. It is highly important to implement and operate an active management of obsolescence to mitigate and avoid extreme costs.

List of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 TV series) episodes

This is a list of episodes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 TV series. The series debuted on February 8, 2003 on the Fox Network as part of Fox's 4Kids TV Saturday morning lineup, and ended on March 27, 2010. The series was produced by Mirage Studios, which owned one third of the rights to the show.

Series

Season One: 2003

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' first season originally aired between February 4, 2003 and November 1, 2003, beginning with the "Things Change" episode. The episodes were released in two separate volumes, the first on May 22, 2007 with twelve episodes, and the second on September 18, 2007 with fourteen episodes.

Season Two: 2003–04

The Shredder returns in season 2 and is revealed to be an Utrom named Ch'rell. Karai the daughter of the Shredder makes her first appearance in this season.

Season Three: 2004–05

Many of the Ninja Turtles enemies return in season 3. This is the final season that includes Utrom Shredder.

Obsolete (album)

Obsolete (styled °BSΩLE+e on the album cover) is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Fear Factory, released on July 28, 1998. Conceptually, it is a sequel to 1995's Demanufacture. With the success of its fourth single, "Cars," a Gary Numan cover that featured Numan himself on vocals, Obsolete would break Fear Factory into the mainstream and remain their highest selling album.

Background and recording

The group began writing and pre-production in late 1997. This came to a sudden halt when Ozzy Osbourne invited Fear Factory to open for the reunited Black Sabbath at two sold-out stadium shows at the Birmingham NEC. Fear Factory also headlined their own concert on December 7 in London. The band intended to return to work on their album in Los Angeles until late January when they would record in Vancouver with producers Rhys Fulber and Greg Reely. The working title Obsolete was announced during this time although not certain to remain.

In a first, guitarist Dino Cazares tuned down to A for this album.Gary Numan appears at the beginning of "Obsolete" and on the cover of his own song "Cars."

Busted (2002 Busted album)

Busted is the self-titled debut studio album by English pop punk band Busted. It was released in the UK in September 2002 and peaked at #2 the following January after the success of second single "Year 3000", which reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart.

Background

The first single released from the album was "What I Go to School For", which reached #3. This was followed by "Year 3000", which reached #2, "You Said No" and "Sleeping with the Light On". "You Said No" peaked at #1 and "Sleeping with the Light On" peaked at #3. A European only single, "Hurra Hurra Die Schule Brennt", was released on the same date as You Said No was released in the UK. Busted was the 8th best-selling album of 2003 in the UK. The album has been certified as 3x Platinum in the UK. The album spent 77 weeks on the UK Top 75 Albums chart. Six tracks were co-written with John McLaughlin and Steve Robson. The other remaining songs were written by the band themselves. who often collaborate with each other. Both "What I Go to School For" and "Year 3000" were covered by the Jonas Brothers, and released on their 2006 album It's About Time.

Britney (Bebo Norman song)

"Britney" is a song by American Christian music recording artist Bebo Norman. It was written and produced by Norman for his ninth studio album, the self-titled Bebo Norman (2008), with additional writing by Jason Ingram. The song was released on July 28, 2008 through BEC Records as the album's first single. The inspirational folk song, is an apology to pop singer Britney Spears for the consequences of fame and success.

"Britney" was very well received by music critics, with some calling it "sweet" and "not cynical at all," and noticing the song's sympathetic message to Spears. After its release, Lynne Spears praised the song and thanked Norman for writing it. "Britney" failed to chart on Billboard Hot 100, but did manage to peak at number 28 on the Hot Christian Adult Contemporary chart.

Background and composition

"Britney" was written by Bebo Norman in the beginning of 2008 as an apology to the pop singer Britney Spears, after watching a news report about Spears on television. The song was later recorded and produced by Norman for his self-titled album, with additional production by Jason Ingram and Rusty Varenkamp. When asked about the song, Norman said:
