"You Are" is the title of a popular song from 1983 by the singer-songwriter Lionel Richie. "You Are" was written by Richie and his then-wife, Brenda Harvey Richie. It appears on his self-titled debut solo album, which came out in 1982. Resuming where he left off with D-flat major tunes with Commodores' "Sail On", "Still" and "Truly".
Released as the follow-up single to his number-one hit song "Truly", "You Are" reached the top five on three major Billboard music charts. On the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart, the song spent two weeks at number four in early 1983. It peaked at number two on the R&B chart and spent six weeks at number one on the adult contemporary chart. In the United Kingdom, the song reached number 43 on the British pop chart.
"You Are" is a romantic song, although with a more upbeat arrangement than many of Richie's slower ballads, including a horn section. Before achieving popularity for his own music, singer Richard Marx was a studio musician who can be heard singing backing vocals on "You Are" as well as other songs from Richie's debut album. Kenny Rogers and Jimmy Connors are also heard on backing vocals.
Theaudience (styled as theaudience) were a Britpop group active in the 1990s. They released one album and saw three singles enter the UK Singles Chart. The band's singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor became a successful solo artist after the band's disbandment.
Theaudience were founded by guitarist Billy Reeves, formerly of the indie group Congregation. The group were fronted by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and included drummer/producer "Patch" Hannan (ex-The Sundays), Nigel Butler (ex-The Bridge), Dean Mollett (ex-Porcupine) and Kerin Smith. Their one self-titled album received critical acclaim and reached #22 in the UK charts, with two of four singles released reaching the Top 40.
Reeves left the band late in 1998, and although the remaining band members wrote and demoed material for a second album it was rejected by record label Mercury Records, who then dropped the band, which split in 1999. These tracks were leaked onto the internet in 2009 as a fourteen-track album under the fan-made title Quiet Storm.

The vinyl edition of the album was limited to 1,500 copies, and was pressed as a limited edition on glittery vinyl.
theAudience is a social media presence management company, which represents high profile public figures in the entertainment industry and social media influencers.
TheAudience was founded by Sean Parker, Ari Emanuel, and Oliver Luckett in 2011, with Luckett serving as the company’s CEO. The president of the company is Kate McLean. The idea for the company came from a meeting between Emanuel and Luckett, set-up by Parker, at which Emanuel voiced concerns over how his clients were not able to effectively control their social media presences. The idea was to create a company to both help manage the social media presence of Emanuel’s clients and others, and to develop social media content for the clients to post, such as photographs, videos, or other posts. Partners in the firm also included the Guggenheim Partners. Initial ideas for work included gaining online endorsement deals for clients or charging for production companies for the right to engage with a client’s followers on their social media platforms. Instead, the company engaged with social media influencers, gaining them endorsement deals, and focused on using the metrics of social media engagement for celebrity clients, as something to be leveraged in contract negotiations.
You've been so green
You can't know what I mean
I'm keen to convence
Have you seen what I've seen?
Between the man and his machine
A latrine and libertine
Now that you are 18
Between the clean and gasoline
The queen and a works cantine
Now that you are 18
You're sheen is serene
Your regime's become routine
I don't mean to demean
But guilotine that magazine
Between esteem and plasticine
Harem and benedictine
Now that you are 18
Between coffeine and nicotine
Polythene and pastures green
Now that you are...
Everyday is a ray of sunshine
When you open up your mind you'll be a genius
Everyday will stay fine
When you want to be heard
When you're willing to learn we'll be waiting for you
You are 18
Now that you are 18 (x3)
Everyday is a ray of sunshine
Everyday will stay fine
As long as there is nothing to do
Everyday is a ray of sunshine
