"Nothing Left" is a song by American metal band As I Lay Dying, the song is from their fourth studio album An Ocean Between Us. The song received a Grammy Award nomination in "Best Metal Performance" category in 2008. It is featured in the video games Midnight Club: Los Angeles[1] and Saints Row 2[2] by Rockstar Games, and Volition, respectively. It is also featured as a free song in Tap Tap Revenge 3 for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The song appears to be commenting on moral decay in society; "Like those gasping for their last breath. We cannot hide, there's nothing left" "This world was never worthy, but how can I call it 'unfaithful'? Every promise was fulfilled as decay crawled from its throat." On the album version of the song, both the clean and the screamed vocals in the chorus are sung by vocalist Tim Lambesis, but in the live video shown on Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit", drummer Jordan Mancino sings the clean lyrics. In most live shows now, bassist Josh Gilbert sings the clean part.
The video was directed by Brian Thompson. It starts as if the instrumental intro "Separation" was part of the song. It shows a dark future in which everyone who is "infected" is condemned. Several televisions throughout the video show the image of a supposed dictator with the subtitle "Condemn The Infected". The story starts with a woman who notices a mark on her neck, the mark of the infected. She wears a scarf to conceal the mark, but the scarf is removed later on. Consequently, several people notice and point their fingers at her. The dictator arrives on the scene and takes her to the ancient Roman Colosseum. At the Colosseum, she is stripped of her clothing and humiliated in front of thousands of spectators. She is then taken from the Colosseum and led to the edge of a cliff, where the video ends. The video for "The Sound of Truth" continues this story. The story continues with a rebellion of infected people being formed (against the supposed dictator) and two infected men rescuing the woman and donning the suits of the two soldiers who were about to throw her off the cliff. The two men go to the room where the supposed dictator is controlling the televisions that he is seen on and capture him. The end of the video shows people screaming for the dictator to be punished. The dictator is thrown on the ground and calls for help but the people continue screaming. The dictator's black leather gloves are then thrown off and the people stop screaming when they see that he is infected, and the video ends. The video for "Nothing Left" is intercut with shots of the band performing in a room with computers, while the video for "The Sound of Truth" shows the band performing on top of a building downtown in a storm.

April Rain is the second full-length album by the Dutch symphonic metal band, Delain. It was released in the Benelux on 20 March 2009 and was released internationally on 30 March 2009 by Roadrunner Records. It was released in Australia on 10 April 2009.
Martijn Westerholt, founder of Delain, originally did not intend Delain to be a live band. But after the success of debut album Lucidity a live band was created which recorded the album April Rain. While Delain's previous album Lucidity featured many guest appearances, this album has only two: Maria Ahn, cellist from the Ahn Trio and Finnish singer Marco Hietala, who was featured on multiple tracks of Lucidity as well. "Virtue and Vice" is the only song on April Rain containing death growls performed by guitarist Ronald Landa, who also contributes clean vocals on "Invidia".
Demo versions of "Stay Forever" and "Start Swimming" were already played live by Delain in 2007 and 2008. In November 2008, a version of the song "I'll Reach You" with alternate lyrics was performed live on a Dutch TV show to get attention for UNICEF & BT's "Inspiring Young Minds" charity.
and all you ever stood for and all you never could give up
and all you ever wanted you pushed it further, you pushed it harder
and now your fight has ended, you can't deny it, but I will envy you
you pushed it harder, you pushed it further, I won't give up on you
and there's nothing left to say and now there's nothing left to save
no that you are gone, it's just life's tragedy, we won't lay down and we'll see what you saw
when nothing is done, we will collapse, it's time to get up and really make a stand
and all you ever stood for and all you never could give up
and all you never stood for and all you ever could give up
and all you ever stood for and all you never could give up
