Norn9 (NORN9 ノルン＋ノネット, Norn9 Norun+Nonetto) is an otome game for PlayStation Portable. It was developed by Otomate and published by Idea Factory. The game was originally going to be launched on May 23, 2013, but its release was delayed one week. A PlayStation Vita port, entitled Norn9: Var Commons, was released on December 11, 2014. A fandisk titled Norn9: Last Era has been announced and was released on April 2, 2015. On March 2, 2014, it was announced that an anime adaptation is currently in the works. The anime premiered on January 7, 2016.

Plot

The story takes place a little in the future. Guided by one particular song, young elementary-schooler Sorata Suzuhara, from the Heisei Era, is warped through a time skip to an unfamiliar place that looks much like the towns from the Meiji or Taishō period from his textbooks. In this world, he meets three young ladies and nine young men and joins them on a journey aboard the mysterious Norn ship, a giant globe that floats in midair.

NORN (clothing brand)

NORN is a winter trouser manufacturer based in Montreal, Canada. The insulating fabric for the pants is a special type of fleece . The outer layer is either wool, poly-wool blend or polyester. The combination of the fabrics is chosen such that the pants breathe but also insulates. The main idea is to be warm when out side, while remaining comfortable indoors.

History

NORN started by a Montreal engineering student from Concordia University by the name of Gregory Oganesian. Riding his motorcycle at close to subzero temperatures, wearing 3 layers and suffering in discomfort, he taught of making a comfortable and warm pair of trousers for the motorcycle. When the prototype was complete, he was amazed by the result and wanted to deliver it to his friends and relative. The he decided selling them online and transitioned selling to boutiques.
