Tucker Clellan

Tucker "Duck" Clellan is a fictional character from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series.

Background

Duck served as a Colonial Viper pilot aboard the Battlestar Galactica and was a central character in the webisode series "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance".

In the episode "Scar", Duck's wingman, a nugget, is killed by the Cylon Raider nicknamed "Scar".

When the fleet settles on New Caprica, Duck settles down with Nora, a fellow Viper pilot. They start planning for a family. Unfortunately, due to Colonel Tigh's practices in the New Caprica Resistance, Cylon Centurions massacre people worshiping in the temple, and Nora is killed. Nora had been religious, and Duck had refused to accompany her to temple that day. Duck later confronts Tigh about hiding weapons.

Getting suicidally depressed, Duck decides to get one back at the Cylons by joining the resistance and becoming a suicide bomber. Duck infiltrates the New Caprica Police, and detonates explosives strapped to himself during the graduation ceremony, killing some 30 other graduates.

Nora, Indianapolis

Nora is historically an affluent, family-friendly community on the far north side of Indianapolis. It is home to North Central High School and birthplace of the popular Monon Trail. Nora's neighborhoods typically feature diverse housing stock, large lots and mature trees. The Nora community contains six distinct business/commercial districts, including Nora Plaza, Greenbriar Plaza, and The Fashion Mall at Keystone at the Crossing.

Nora is generally considered to be contained by White River on the east (southward around the Broad Ripple oxbow), Williams Creek and 79th St. on the south, Township Line Road on the west, and 96th and I-465 on the north (which forms the border between Marion and Hamilton counties) on the north. Nora doesn’t have firm boundaries because it was never incorporated. Today, the boundaries of Nora are commonly accepted as the area defined by the Nora Northside Community Council.

History

The name Nora for this area can be traced back to December 1871 when the Swedish immigrant Peter Lawson was appointed postmaster at Nora. Lawson owned a grocery store that was situated at what is today the southwest corner of Westfield Boulevard and 86th Street.

Nora (2000 film)

Nora is a 2000 film directed by Pat Murphy about Nora Barnacle and her husband, Irish author James Joyce. It stars Ewan McGregor as Joyce and Susan Lynch in the title role.

Dublin, 1904. Walking down Dublin's Nassau Street, James Joyce meets Nora Barnacle, a young and attractive woman from Galway. Joyce, immediately in love with the young woman, offers to 'show her the city'. Nora coldly states that she has to work.

The film then proceeds to examine the relationship between Joyce and Barnacle. We witness the good times and the bad times, the birth and growth of their two children (Giorgio and Lucia) and how Joyce battles with his publishers and, indeed, the censors over his first published work, Dubliners.

Heartland (U.S. TV series)

Heartland is an American television drama series that aired on TNT in 2007. The series was based in the high-stakes world of heart-transplant surgery at "St. Jude" hospital in Pittsburgh based largely on the transplant center at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. It followed a recently separated couple who work both sides of the trade: She convinces the survivors and loved ones to donate the organs of the newly or about to be deceased; he races against time to implant the valuable organs into patients who are struggling against time and their failing bodies to hold on just long enough to receive the life-saving gifts. It was produced by Warner Horizon Television.

On Monday, July 23, Heartland was moved to its new time beginning at 8:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Central followed by The Closer and the series premiere of Saving Grace.

On Friday, August 31, Heartland was canceled by TNT due to disappointing ratings.

Heartland (The Judds album)

Heartland is the third studio album released by RCA Records in 1987 by the American country music duo The Judds. It features the singles "Don't Be Cruel" (a cover of the Elvis Presley song), "Turn It Loose", and "I Know Where I'm Going". The album was released in Europe under the title Give a Little Love, as a 15-track compilation. It reached number 1 on England's country album charts in 1987, soon after The Judds toured there.

Heartland (New Zealand TV series)

Heartland was a long-running series where, in each episode, presenter Gary McCormick explored a Kiwi community. Location and local legend are relayed as McCormick (or occasionally Annie Whittle, Maggie Barry, or Kerre McIvor) interacts with the natives, most famously, tiger slipper-shod Chloe of Wainuiomata. The popular, award-winning series, was inspired by a collaboration — Raglan by the Sea — between McCormick and director Bruce Morrison; it connected mostly-urban Kiwis with faraway corners of the country, and a homely sense of shared identity.
