Russell Watson (born 24 November 1966) is an English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. The self-styled "People's Tenor" had been singing since he was a child, and became known after performing at a working men's club. He came to attention in 1999 when he sang "God Save the Queen" at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, "Barcelona" at the last match of the Premiership season between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and a full set of songs at the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final in Barcelona between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Watson's debut album titled The Voice was released in May 2001; four others followed. However, an album planned for November 2006 was delayed due to the removal of a benign pituitary tumour. This album, titled That's Life, was eventually released on 5 March 2007.
"Nobody Does It Better" is a song composed by Marvin Hamlisch with lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager. It was recorded by Carly Simon as the theme song for the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. It was the first Bond theme song to be titled differently from the name of the film since Dr. No, although the phrase "the spy who loved me" is included in the lyrics. The song was released as a single from the film's soundtrack album.
"Nobody Does It Better" became a major wordwide hit, spending three weeks at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Easy Listening chart. It also reached #7 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was certified Gold by the RIAA, signifying sales of one million copies in the US.
The song is Simon's longest-charting hit. Her earlier hit "You're So Vain" spent three weeks at #1; however, its chart run was two months shorter than that of "Nobody Does It Better." The title of the theme was later used for Simon's 1999 greatest hits compilation, The Very Best of Carly Simon: Nobody Does It Better.
Nobody Does It Better is the debut studio album by American R&B singer Gina Thompson. It was released through Mercury Records on August 13, 1996. The album was led by the hit single, "The Things That You Do". The "Bad Boy Remix", featuring Missy Elliott, version of the song was released as the official lead single. The song peaked at 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at 12 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The debut album failed to enter the Billboard 200, but managed to peak at 36 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop albums. In 1998, the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Gossip Girl is an American young adult novel series written by Cecily von Ziegesar and published by Little, Brown and Company, a subsidiary of the Hachette Group. The series revolves around the lives and romances of the privileged teenagers at the Constance Billard School for Girls, an elite private school in New York City's Upper East Side. The books primarily focus on best friends Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen, whose experiences are among those chronicled by the eponymous gossip blogger. The novel series is based on von Ziegesar's experiences at Nightingale-Bamford School and on what she heard from friends.
The first novel, Gossip Girl, was released in April 2002; the eleventh novel of the series was released in May 2007, with a prequel novel following in October 2007. Another follow-up novel, in which the characters return home from college for the holidays, was released in hardback format in November 2009. The original novel became the inspiration for the Gossip Girl teen drama television series, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, which premiered on The CW Television Network on September 19, 2007. There are now 13 novels.
How did I wake up each day,
Before that moment I saw your face
Where was I before your touch
Nowhere is where I was without you.
Without you in, my life was just a lie,
Before you I don't know how I got by.
Before I met you, before I held you in the night,
I don't know how I survived.
Before I found you, before you made everything right,
I was hurt for life.
Wasn't really living 'til you came into my life
I got through it baby,
But I don't know how I got by.
How did I get through those nights
Before that moment I held you tight.
Where was I before your kiss
How did I exist without you.
Life had no meaning, no reason and no rhyme,
Before you I don't know how I got by.
Before I met you, before I held you in the night
I don't know how I survived.
Before I found you, before you made everything right.
Wasn't really living 'til you came into my life,
I got through it baby,
But I don't know how I got by.
I thank God when I wake up,
I'm waking next to you.
I don't know what I was living for, before you,
before you whoooah!!!
Before I met you, before I held you in the night
I don't know how I survived.
Before I found you, before you made everything right,
I was hurt for life.
Wasn't really living 'til you came into my life
I got through it baby,
