2014 S/S

2014 S/S is the debut album of South Korean group WINNER. It was released on August 12, 2014 by the group's record label, YG Entertainment. The members were credited for writing the lyrics and composing the majority of the album's songs.

Upon release, 2014 S/S proved to be a success, topping both local and international charts. The title track "Empty" received an instant "all-kill" by topping the ten major real-time Korean music charts.

"Empty" and "Color Ring" became hits in South Korea, topping the Gaon Chart and Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart. All of the tracks charted on digital charts while the lead single, Empty, retained its number one position for more than a week on various charts. Internationally, 2014 S/S took the top spot in Billboard's World Album Chartand landed the top spot on iTunes "Top Album Charts" for Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The members produced the majority of the music for this album themselves, with the help of other producers such as Choice 37, Airplay, and others.

Television's Greatest Hits: 65 TV Themes! From the 50's and 60's

65 TV Themes! From the 50's and 60's is the first volume of the Television's Greatest Hits series of compilation albums by TVT Records. From the 50's and 60's was a double LP that featured 65 themes from television shows ranging from the mid-1950s until the late 1960s.

The album catalog was later acquired by The Bicycle Music Company. In September 2011, Los Angeles-based Oglio Records announced they were releasing the Television's Greatest Hits song catalog after entering into an arrangement The Bicycle Music Company. A series of 9 initial "6-packs" including some of the songs from the album has been announced for 2011.

Mayhem (advertising character)

Mayhem is an advertising character created by Leo Burnett Worldwide for Allstate Insurance. Burnett pitched the character to Allstate as "Mr. Mayhem", comparing him to the character Mr. White from the 1992 film Reservoir Dogs played by Harvey Keitel.

Mayhem has been played by Dean Winters since the campaign was launched in April 2010.

Commercials

The formula for almost every Mayhem commercial has been the same. To begin the commercial, a situation is set up with Mayhem explaining what is going on and hinting at what is about to happen. For instance, a 2015 ad features Mayhem as a portable grill hastily put back into a car before being put out, which leads to an explosion when the still-burning embers ignite an enormous bottle of lighter fluid. Once the end result is revealed, Mayhem warns that certain "cut-rate" policies are lacking in coverage, advising the viewers to get their insurance policies through Allstate.

In some ads, Mayhem also has advised against going without roadside assistance. In three separate situations, he described what could happen in the face of a catastrophe while driving; these consisted of having to stay in a creepy roadside motel overnight because one's car ran out of fuel, being forced to change a tire in a heavy downpour, being forced to stay at an awkward family gathering because one's car battery died, and potentially becoming a victim of crime due to a breakdown in the wrong neighborhood.

Mayhem (Imelda May song)

"Mayhem" is a song by Irish rockabilly singer Imelda May. Written solely by May, the song was released as her fourth single on September 13, 2010 and the second single from her third studio album of the same name. It has become one of May's signature songs, next to her first single "Johnny Got a Boom Boom."

Origin and recording

The song was written after the release of May's second studio album, Love Tattoo, which she was promoting on tour at the time of writing. The song was recorded during the Mayhem sessions at Embassy Studios, a sixteen track analogue recording studio in a converted cow shed, near Basingstoke, United Kingdom. A remastered version of the song was released as a bonus track on the iTunes version of Mayhem. Alternate mixes by Andy Green and producer Andy Wright were released as part of a desktop widget available on Imelda May's official website.

Speaking of the writing and production of both the song and the album, May said: "I'm over the moon with how Mayhem has turned out – I hope people enjoy it. I feel I’ve made the album I wanted that reflects the spectrum of all my influences from music past but is a record firmly in the here & now."
