Black Market (Rick Ross album)

Black Market is the eighth studio album by American rapper Rick Ross. The album was released on December 4, 2015, by Maybach Music Group, Def Jam Recordings and Slip-n-Slide Records. The album features guest appearances from John Legend, CeeLo Green, Nas, DJ Premier, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Future and The-Dream.

Background

In November 2015, in an interview with Billboard, he spoke about the album, saying: "You know, this album is, I feel like, most definitely gonna be a Rozay on a higher, intellectual level, just discussing a different array of things. When you listen to records like "Foreclosure," that's like me sitting in a room by myself just rapping about things that's running across my mind and things that have been bothering me. And during my incarceration, that was the type of music I created. Just in that short moment of time, I really just sat there... I'm a muthafucka that flies six million miles a year and just to halt one day, out of the blue, for three weeks? It's just, "Woah." There's a lot of shit that I wrote and a lot of shit that I thought about. I came back out and scrapped a lot of music and I recorded some dope songs, but my first day home I recorded six records. So that's why I was able to put out the Black Dollar record and have been releasing a slew of freestyles, just feeding the fans and everybody that's been asking for that Rozay music."

    Lambda

Lambda (uppercase Λ, lowercase λ; Greek: Λάμ(β)δα lam(b)da) is the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals lambda has a value of 30. Lambda is related to the Phoenician letter Lamed . Letters in other alphabets that stemmed from lambda include the Latin L and the Cyrillic letter El (Л, л). The ancient grammarians and dramatists give evidence to the pronunciation as [laːbdaː] (λάβδα) in Classical Greek times. In Modern Greek the name of the letter, Λάμδα, is pronounced [lamða]; the spoken letter itself has the sound of [l] as with Latinate "L".

In early Greek alphabets, the shape and orientation of lambda varied. Most variants consisted of two straight strokes, one longer than the other, connected at their ends. The angle might be in the upper-left, lower-left ("Western" alphabets), or top ("Eastern" alphabets). Other variants had a vertical line with a horizontal or sloped stroke running to the right. With the general adoption of the Ionic alphabet, Greek settled on an angle at the top; the Romans put the angle at the lower-left.

    Lambda (anatomy)

The occipital angle is rounded and corresponds with the point of meeting of the sagittal and the lambdoid suture—a point which is termed the lambda (after the Greek letter of the same name whose lowercase form resembles the junction formed by the sutures); in the fetus this part of the skull is membranous, and is called the posterior fontanelle.

    No Dope

    by: Whispertown 2000

    No dope no pill
    No drinkin' fill
Can tow this time of tears
No time alone away from home
Can take this out of years
    Goodbye my love
    Of pride and stuff
    Hello my love I'm here
    No old flame
    For cryin' shame
    Can carry cross this line
    And no short cut
    I'll tell you what
Can make this race seem mild
I'm gonna walk it yes I am
And I'm gonna take my time
    I'm here
    Though there's a breeze
    Over empty seas
    captain me
No way no wonder of the world
Can make me change my mind
    No medicine or heroine
Could make me go sleep light
    My old friend fear
    Has disappeared
    Hello my love I'm here
    No dope no pill
    No drinkin' fill
