Nishanth Balakrishnan is a Malayalam actor who has been in the industry for 17 years. He has worked with some of the finest directors in this span of career and done some notable characters

Nishanth Balakrishnan made his Malayalam film acting debut with Devadasy in 2000. While pursuing his Graduation he was offered the lead role in a film " Devdasy" directed by Biju Varkey. He got a breakthrough two years later when Lohithadas cast him in "Joker" along with Dileep.

Personal life

Nishanth was born to Balakrishnan, Kerala. His initial schooling was at Hail Mary High School Aarakunnam, Ernakulam and Mary Giri Vidya Mandir, Punalur. He completed the rest of his school education at the Govt. Model High School - Trivandrum , St.Marys High School Trivandrum, Ganapath Boys High School - Calicut. He did his college from Zamorin's Guruvayoorappan College,Kozhikode. He was selected as Kozhikode Gentleman in 1996 and later as Mr Calicut in the same year.

Nishanth married Vrinda, his childhood love, in 2014, Kerala.
