Nick Vincent

Nicholas A. Vincent (born January 11, 1958 Harvey, Illinois) is an American rock and roll, jazz, and studio drummer, producer and composer. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Frank Black, Donny & Marie,Art Garfunkel, John Fogerty, Carole King, Jackie DeShannon, Ann-Margret, Hilary Duff, Hanson, Charlotte Hatherley, Ian McLagan and Roger Miller.

Vincent has done steady television and film soundtrack work, including the films Sideways, Just Go with It, Grown Ups, Desperado and From Dusk Till Dawn.

His tenure with Frank Black included playing on Frank Black, Teenager of the Year and The Cult of Ray, and producing the albums Pistolero, Dog in the Sand, Black Letter Days and Show Me Your Tears.

Vincent co-produced the record "Super Rocket Star" by his sister Holly Beth Vincent.

He has been a student of legendary drum teacher Freddie Gruber, and also attended University of North Texas from 1975 to 1978. Vincent has been a member of the bands Tito & Tarantula, the Surf Punks, and Chuck E. Weiss and the God Dam Liars.

Nick Vincent (baseball)

Nicholas James Vincent (born July 12, 1986) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball.

High school and college

Vincent attended Ramona High School in Ramona, California, a town in the foothills northeast of San Diego. He played college baseball at Palomar College and Long Beach State University.

Professional career

The San Diego Padres drafted Vincent in the 18th round (555th overall) of the 2008 MLB Draft. He spent 2009 and 2010 pitching out of the bullpen with the High-A Lake Elsinore Storm of the California League. In his 2010 season, he posted a 1.87 ERA in 81²⁄₃ innings with 76 strike-outs. He spent 2011 with the Double-A San Antonio Missions where he had a 2.27 ERA, 89 strike-outs, and held opponents to a .196 batting average in 79¹⁄₃ innings as a reliever. The Padres added Vincent to the 40 man roster after the 2011 season.
