Nice (band)

Nice was an Australian indie rock band which formed in 1991. The band was fronted by Randall Lee formerly of The Cannanes and later of Ashtray Boy on vocals and guitar; Susannah Stewart-Lindsay, previously a member of the Adelaide based band, Rewind on the Paranoid Side, on guitar; and Jo Packer on drums. Francesca Bussey, later a member of The Cannanes, was a member of Nice on bass guitar during the recording sessions for their first album, Nice (1992), but left during production and was credited only as a guest. Bussey was replaced on bass guitar by Mark King.

Allmusic's Nitsuh Abebe felt that Nice, which was issued by United States label, Feel Good All Over, showed that "Lee's dark jangle sounds absolutely stunning, and while the record's songwriting isn't as consistent as one might hope, the majority of it works incredibly well, with unconventional time signatures and progressions keeping things from falling into strummy banality". "Dear John", which was the lead track on Nice, was covered by the band Aden. The band's songs "Theme from Nice" and "Circuit Diagram" from their 1993 album, Apple Pie, were included in the popular 1990s Nickelodeon show The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Adebe described Apple Pie as "a step toward the more varied pop sound" of Lee's future work with Ashtray Boy.

Nice

Nice (/ˈniːs/, French pronunciation: ​[nis]; Niçard Occitan: Niça [classical norm] or Nissa [nonstandard], Italian: Nizza or Nizza Marittima, Greek: Νίκαια, Latin: Nicaea) is the fifth most populous city in France, after Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Toulouse, and it is the capital of the Alpes Maritimes département. The urban area of Nice extends beyond the administrative city limits, with a population of about 1 million on an area of 721 km² (278 sq mi). Located in the Côte d'Azur area on the south east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, Nice is the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast and the second-largest city in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region after Marseille. Nice is about 8 miles (13 km) from the principality of Monaco, and its airport is a gateway to the principality as well.

The city is called Nice la Belle (Nissa La Bella in Niçard), which means Nice the Beautiful, which is also the title of the unofficial anthem of Nice, written by Menica Rondelly in 1912.

Únice

Únice is a village and municipality (obec) in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 5.58 square kilometres (2.15 sq mi), and has a population of 57 (as at 28 August 2006).

Únice lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Strakonice, 59 km (37 mi) north-west of České Budějovice, and 95 km (59 mi) south-west of Prague.

Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy

"Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy" is the tenth episode of season 10 and the 149th overall episode of Comedy Central's South Park. It originally aired on October 18, 2006.

This episode parodies the TV series Dog the Bounty Hunter. The episode focuses on a situation involving Kyle Broflovski, his little brother, Ike, Eric Cartman, and the kindergarten teacher, Ms. Stevenson. The episode is rated TV-MA on Comedy Central and TV-14 for suggestive dialogue (D), offensive language (L), and sexual content (S) in syndication.

Plot

Eric Cartman is asked by a hall monitor to go see Principal Victoria. He believes he is in trouble for telling the other boys he made another student sick, but is instead given "authoritah" as the new school hallway monitor. Cartman takes full advantage of his new job, such as by dressing and acting as "Dawg the Hallway Monitor" and by bullying others and threatening them with bear spray. During his shift, Cartman finds a love drawing of Miss Stevenson (the kindergarten teacher) by Ike. After Miss Stevenson receives the drawing, she admits she too loves Ike, and the pair go on dates and even begin a sexual relationship.
