Trance is an album by American jazz pianist and composer Steve Kuhn recorded in 1974 and released on the ECM label.
The Allmusic review by Thom Jurek awarded the album 4 stars stating "This is jazz that touches on fusion, modal, and the new spirit of the music as ECM came into the 1970s as a player. There is restlessness and calm, tempestuousness and serenity, conflict and resolution, and -- above all -- creativity and vision".
Trance (retitled The Eternal for DVD release) is a 1998 horror film directed and written by Michael Almereyda. The film's score features music by Mark Geary. It premiered on Toronto Film Festival, and was released as direct-to-video in the United States.
Nora and Jim are an alcoholic couple. After a night of drinking, Nora experiences a flashback and falls down the stairs of their New York apartment building. Though alright, she complains of headaches, and her doctor orders her to give up alcohol. For the sake of their son Jimmy, Nora and Jim pledge to sober up, but the doctor expresses skepticism when he learns they will be traveling to Ireland to visit Nora's elderly grandmother. Nora assures her doctor they will purge themselves of all their bad habits there.
In Ireland, Nora and Jim stop at a pub to get directions. While drinking, they run into Joe, one of Nora's old friends. He warns them that Nora's Uncle Bill has gone insane. Jim becomes jealous and starts a fight with Joe, and they are thrown out of the pub. Before they reach the mansion, Nora has another vision and crashes the car. Though none of them are injured, they are forced to walk the rest of the way. Alice, a young girl adopted by Bill, leads them there.
Trance (Hope Abbott) is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by the Marvel Comics. A mutant, Hope attended the Xavier Institute before its closing. She retained her powers after M-Day and is a member of the X-Men's training squad.
Hope was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. When Hope's powers manifested, it appeared as if a ghost had come out of her body, giving her father a heart attack. She was then sent to the Xavier Institute by her parents believing that she would be "cured."
While at the Institute, Hope was put in the Paragons Squad under the watch of Wolfsbane. Hope then took on the codename Trance. When it was outted that Wolfsbane and a student (Elixir) had been in a relationship, Wolfsbane decided to leave. Magma then took over as the squad's advisor.
When the events of Decimation transpired, she was one of only 27 students to keep her powers. Greatly weakened by the losses, Emma Frost placed all of the remaining students into an all-out brawl to determine who would become the team of X-Men in-training. Hope did not make the team yet, like all of the other students who retained their powers, still resides at the Institute.

"Style" is a 1999 single by the electronica duo Orbital. It was their fourth consecutive single, and fifth overall, to reach the top 20 of the UK singles chart, peaking at number 13.
The track takes its name from the analogue electronic musical instrument, the stylophone, which is used extensively on the track. The main version includes a sample of "Oh L'amour" performed by Dollar, while the "Bigpipe Style" version (which features the main riff played on bagpipes) samples Suzi Quatro's hit "Devil Gate Drive". Orbital's request to use a sample from a Rolf Harris stylophone demonstration disc was turned down. The other versions are "Old Style", a more club-oriented dance mix; and "New Style", a retro-styled version with live bass by Andy James.
All of the mixes are by Orbital themselves; the duo had wanted Stereolab to remix the track, but the latter group were on tour at the time and unavailable, so the "New Style" mix is Orbital's own version of a Stereolab-type mix.

Starring Prabhu Deva, Raghava Lawrence, Raja, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Charmme Kaur in lead roles, Chiranjeevi & Nagarjuna Akkineni given cameo appearance and music is composed by Mani Sharma. This is Lawrence's second directorial venture after the blockbuster Mass with Nagarjuna Akkineni. Megastar Chiranjeevi also made a came appearance in this film. Ganesh (Prabhu Deva) is a good dancer. He beats Anthony in one dance competition to head into the international arena. Anthony gets Ganesh beaten up, and Ganesh loses his legs in a car accident. He is depressed, but he wants to give his dance talent to someone and make him his heir. On a different line, Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) works as a boy at a dance school in Vizag. He and four of his friends are good dancers, but they are never recognized until one folk dance at a hotel. Ganesh finds his prospective heir in Raghava. The rest of the film is how Raghava prepares and defeats Anthony in the final dance competition.
Aṣíkò (Ashiko) is a musical genre similar to sákárà music from Nigeria, West Africa. Aṣíkò was the Christian version of sákárà (Sakara). It developed originally as a type of syncretic street drumming in port towns throughout Anglophone West Africa. By the 1920s it was also played by musicians inland in Yoruba towns like Abęokuta and Ibadan. Isaac O. Delano gives a detailed description of an aṣíkò ensemble in the 1930s:
"Another popular native dance is the "Ashiko". It is not a Yoruba dance in its origin, but was imported from Sierra Leone or somewhere that way. The "Ashiko" dance is chiefly performed by Christian people, and has only one kind of music, rather quicker than the "Sakara" . . . and resembles a fox-trot. No stringed instruments are employed, only drums and carpenter's saw, used occasionally to make a kind of noise on its sharp edge, as an embellishment to "Ashiko" drum music. Sometimes a bottle is also used, a nail beating time on it, for the same purpose. The drummers, five in number, all beat similar drums, and produce a continuous volume of music. The dancing is done by pairs, two ladies and two gentlemen facing each other. The drummers sing as in the "Sakara" dance with chorus boys, but no one else sings with them (Delano [1937] 1973:157)."
