The Face (UK TV series)

The Face was a British reality television series based on the American series of the same name. It aired on Sky Living from September to November 2013. The series saw three supermodels - Caroline Winberg, Erin O'Connor and Naomi Campbell - compete with each other to find the newest face of Max Factor.

The premiere of The Face drew poor ratings of only 132,000 viewers, a market share of 0.6% of British households watching TV at the time, and below the audience Sky Living averaged in the same time slot - 239,000 viewers (1% share) - during the year before the show aired. In July 2014, it was confirmed that due to poor ratings, the show was axed would not return for a second series.

The Face (Australian TV series)

The Face was an Australian reality television modelling competition series aired on Fox8 of Foxtel and produced by Shine Australia. Naomi Campbell was the show's executive producer and one of the three supermodel coaches of the series, as with The Face (U.S.) and The Face (U.K.). It was reported that the channel and production team acquired the right to create an adaptation for Australian TV on 31 August 2013. Filming for the series took place from 1 November to 4 December 2013. The series was broadcast from March to May 2014.

The show premiered to 40,000 national viewers, which was the 18th most watched show on subscription television that night, but only fourth most watched program on FOX8. The remaining episodes of the series rated under 50,000 national viewers, with the finale attracting only 16,000 viewers (plus 25,000 viewers on FOX8 +2)

Requirements

All applicants attempting to enter the competition were required to be female and be over the age of 18 or under the age 30 as of 1 November 2013. Applying contestants were also required to meet the minimum height requirement of 172 cm. Past experience as a model was not a requisite. Those with experience as a model could not have been in any national campaign within previous five years before applying. The deadline for all applications was 22 September 2013.

Never Ever (Jiyeon EP)

Never Ever is the debut EP by Park Ji-yeon. It's the first solo work by this member of Korean girl group T-ara, and features the single "1 Minute 1 Second (Never Ever)". The EP was released on May 20, 2014 under MBK Entertainment.

Release and reception

On April 2, 2014 it was announced that Park would have a solo album. MBK Entertainment released a statement saying, “Jiyeon’s solo concept is sexy and will be similar to Park Jiyoon’s 'Coming of Age Ceremony", but with a modern 2014-esque twist.”

On May 20, 2014 the extended play Never Ever was released along with the music video for the single "1 Minute 1 Second (Never Ever)" and a dance practice video. "1 Minute, 1 Second (Never Ever)" is a medium-tempo song produced by Duble Sidekick. The EP also includes the melancholic “Marionette” and “Yeouido Cherry Blossom,” a song by composer Ahn Young-min.

On May 23, 2014, it was announced that Park had been forced to change the dance for "1 Minute 1 Second (Never Ever)" due to the hip dance being deemed too sexy and provocative for the public. A news release from MBK Entertainment said "It is true that we received the call to adjust the mentioned dance from the major broadcast station reps... We added the sexy hip dance to the beginning and middle of the performance dance and music video not to give an erotic feeling, but rather to match the atmosphere of the sensitive dance song '1 Minute 1 Second'... However,we do think that the major broadcast music show reps do have a point, so we have decided to show a modified dance to the viewers."

The Weekend Has Landed

The Weekend Has Landed is the second studio album by Ultrabeat.

A limited amount of copies of the album were released on December 1, 2008 under the title of Discolights: The Album however due to distribution problems and the album leaking on to file sharing websites the release date was eventually pushed back until October 26, 2009. The album was renamed The Weekend Has Landed and had a slightly altered tracklisting from the original Discolights album.

Never Ever (All Saints song)

"Never Ever" is a song by British-Canadian girl group All Saints. Written by All Saints member Shaznay Lewis along with co-writers Robert Jazayeri and Sean Mather, and produced by Cameron McVey and Magnus Fiennes, it was released on 17 November 1997 as the second single from their debut album, All Saints (1997). The song later appeared on their compilations All Hits (2001), Pure Shores: The Very Best of All Saints (2010) and their remix compilation The Remix Album (1998). Lyrically, the song talks about the girls feeling their first expressions after a sudden break-up, where the girls query what they did wrong in the relationship. The song received very positive reviews from music critics, where critics praised the groups vocal abilities and felt it was a strong highlight to the album. Some critics also listed on their best lists as well.

"Never Ever" is All Saints' most successful single to date, peaking at the top of the charts in countries including Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, while it peaked in the top ten in countries including Ireland, Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Norway, Austria and the United States. As of March 2013, it is the second best selling single by a girl group of all time in the United Kingdom, only behind "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls.
