Nediyiruppu is a village in Malappuram district in the state of Kerala, India situated east of Calicut International Airport. The important bazaars in the village, Musliyarangadi,Colony Road Junction or Nediyiruppu(This place was early mentioned and officially marked as 'Neidiyiruppu' on Milestone placed at this junction of the roads. After Kerala's first Harijan colony started in this village this junction is called thereafter as Colony road Junction. ), Kottukkara,Kodangad and Kuruppath situated on the Feroke-Palghat National Highway (National Highway 213). Nediyiruppu was home land of the Zamorin rulers of the Kingdom of Calicut (Nediyiruppu Swaroopam).As of 2001 India census, Nediyiruppu had a population of 26680 with 13111 males and 13569 females. In 2015 Nediyiruppu Grama Panchayath and Kondotty Grama Panchayath added together to form a new Kondotty Municipality.
This village is very near the Kozhikode International Airport. The Calicut to Madras trunk road passes through this village. The name of the village 'Nediyiruppu' refers to the ancient kingdom of 'Nediyiruppu Swaroopam'. Most of the people of this village are farmers. Some of them also work in Gulf countries.
