Neo (Marvel Comics species)
The Neo were a fictional race of superhumans in the Marvel Comics Universe, created by Chris Claremont. Before facing global extinction, the Neo were another of Earth's races, apparently a very ancient one that prefer to live in seclusion. They appear to be a subspecies of mutants, but much more powerful. This is seen in the way they call mutants "spikes", as if they didn't even register on the Neo's power scales.
Species Biography
Their existence was kept hidden for millennia as they had chosen a solitary life in their own community. They prospered until the day the High Evolutionary activated his machines (from an orbital space station) that switched off all mutant genes. Worldwide all mutants lost their powers and become baseline humans. The Neo suffered many casualties. Among the dead was the daughter of Domina and Hunter, the leaders of one of Neo's Warclan. They swear revenge on whoever is responsible.
The Neo engaged in fighting the X-Men, who have no intention of letting them destroy the world. It was the Neo who sabotaged the High Evolutionary's space station, who destroyed 17 of Mister Sinister's bases, and who hunted down the mutants hidden by Charles Xavier in NYC. They are all top-notch fighters, and can withstand significant punishment before going down. They are also quite technologically advanced.

Neo (or .NET Entity Objects) is an object-relational mapping (ORM) solution for the Microsoft .NET platform. It is open source software that is distributed freely by its author, Erik Dörnenburg of ThoughtWorks. It provides a framework for mapping an object-oriented domain model to a traditional relational database. It is released under the GNU LGPL 2.1

Assault (tort)
In common law, assault is the tort of acting intentionally, that is with either general or specific intent, causing the reasonable apprehension of an immediate harmful or offensive contact. Because assault requires intent, it is considered an intentional tort, as opposed to a tort of negligence. Actual ability to carry out the apprehended contact is not necessary. In Criminal Law an assault is defined as an attempt to commit battery, requiring the specific intent to cause physical injury.
Comparison to battery
As distinguished from battery, assault need not involve actual contact; it only needs intent and the resulting apprehension. However, assault requires more than words alone. For example, wielding a knife while shouting threats could be construed as assault if an apprehension was created. A battery can occur without a preceding assault, such as if a person is struck in the back of the head. Fear is not required, only anticipation of subsequent battery.
An assault can be an attempted battery.
Assault (1988 video game)
Assault (アサルト, Asaruto) is a multi-directional shooter arcade game released by Namco in 1988 and licensed to Atari Games for US manufacture and distribution. It is the last Namco game that was licensed to Atari, even though their logo still appears on the Mejā Stadium scoreboard in World Stadium '89 Kaimakuban and '90.
What makes Assault unique is that the player's tank always points toward the top of the screen, and when the tank turns the entire playfield rotates around the tank. It can be interpreted as rotating the world rather than the tank. Assault made early use of hardware sprite scaling (preceded by at least Sega's Space Harrier in 1985) and may be the first game to use hardware rotation of sprites and the background.
Description
The player controls a futuristic tank, attacking the surface forces of an alien environment. The tank is controlled by two four-way joysticks. The standard movements, such as "forward" and "turn left", are executed in the same manner as those of other tank driving games, like Battlezone. That is, the player pushes both joysticks away for "forward", pull the left joystick towards and push the right one away for "turn left". But since the joysticks are four-way, two other moves can be executed. Pushing both joysticks away from one another (i.e. the left to the left and the right to the right) causes the tank to rear up on its back end for a moment. When up in this position, the player can fire a lethal nuclear blast, instead of the standard shots when in the normal position. Afterwards, the tank returns to its standard stance. If both joysticks are pushed right or left, the tank shall roll (or "strafe") to that direction.
Assault (film)
Assault is a 1971 British thriller film directed by Sidney Hayers and starring Suzy Kendall, Frank Finlay and Freddie Jones, with Lesley-Anne Down making an early screen appearance; David Essex also has a small role. It is based on the novel The Ravine by Kendal Young, and tells about a police attempt to track down a dangerous rapist/killer on the loose. In the U.S., it was retitled In the Devil's Garden.
Synopsis
After a schoolgirl is raped on her way home from school, police move in to investigate the case. After a further girl is attacked and killed, they call in the assistance of a doctor and a local schoolteacher to help solve the case.

Nano (Spanish footballer, born 1982)
Fernando Macedo da Silva Rodilla (born 20 April 1982), known as Nano, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Racing de Ferrol mainly as a left winger.
He started out at FC Barcelona but, after only six competitive appearances with the first team, he went on to resume his career in both Segunda División and Segunda División B. In La Liga, he also represented Atlético Madrid, Getafe and Osasuna, amassing totals of 69 games and eight goals.
Club career
Nano was born in A Coruña, Galicia. At age 16, he seemed on the verge of a promising future as he was already playing with FC Barcelona's reserves, and the following year he made his first-team – and La Liga – debut, against Real Zaragoza; he would however, not be able to progress any further in his five-year stay with the Catalans, only appearing in three more games with the main squad.
After a solid first season with Atlético Madrid, with qualification to the UEFA Cup, Nano's career faded into obscurity as he was rarely featured with another club from Madrid, Getafe CF, and slightly more with Cádiz CF (the latter in the second division).
