Nagisa Shibuya (渋谷 凪咲, Shibuya Nagisa, born 25 August 1996 in Osaka Prefecture) is a member of the Japanese idol girl group NMB48. She is a member of NMB48's Team BII. She also holds a concurrent position in AKB48 Team 4. She is a member of the sub-unit Tentoumu Chu! with Mako Kojima, Nana Okada, Miki Nishino, Ryoha Kitagawa, Meru Tashima and Mio Tomonaga.

Biography

Shibuya passed NMB48's 4th generation auditions. Her debut was in December 2012. Her stage debut was on February 2013.

In October 2013, together with Tentoumu Chu!, she was casted for the drama Joshikou Keisatsu (女子高警察). In November 2013, she was selected to be the center of NMB48's coupling track on AKB48's single Suzukake Nanchara.

In February 2014, during AKB48's Group Shuffle, she was promoted to Team BII and also started holding a concurrent position in AKB48's Team 4. Her first NMB48 Senbatsu was for the single Takane no Ringo.

Shibuya

Shibuya (渋谷区, Shibuya-ku) is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan.

As of 2008, it has an estimated population of 208,371 and a population density of 13,540 people per km². The total area is 15.11 km².

The name "Shibuya" is also used to refer to the shopping district which surrounds Shibuya Station, one of Tokyo's busiest railway stations. This area is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.

History

Shibuya was historically the site of a castle in which the Shibuya family resided from the 11th century through the Edo period. Following the opening of the Yamanote Line in 1885, Shibuya began to emerge as a railway terminal for southwestern Tokyo and eventually as a major commercial and entertainment center.

The village of Shibuya was incorporated in 1889 by the merger of the villages of Kami-Shibuya, Naka-Shibuya and Shimo-Shibuya within Minami-Toshima County (Toyotama County from 1896). The village covered the territory of modern-day Shibuya Station area as well as the Hiroo, Daikanyama, Aoyama and Ebisu areas. Shibuya became a town in 1909. The town of Shibuya merged with the neighboring towns of Sendagaya (which included the modern Sendagaya, Harajuku and Jingumae areas) and Yoyohata (which included the modern Yoyogi and Hatagaya areas) to form Shibuya Ward of Tokyo City in 1932. Tokyo City became Tokyo Metropolis in 1943, and the present-day special ward was established on March 15, 1947.

Nagisa (from Persian negin ["jewel"],(Negin-Sa) [ This combination exists in other female Iranian names like : "Pari-Sa", "Mehr-Sa", "Gol-Sa", "Rokh-Sa" (Roxanne in English) ] alternately Nakisa) was a master harpist and composer of the royal court of King Khosrau II of Persia (died 628 AD).

She collaborated with Barbad on her famous septet piece, the Royal Khosrowvani (سرود خسروانى). The main themes of her songs were in praise of King Khosrau II. She also composed the national anthem of the time.

Music flourished during the Sassanid dynasty because many rulers were patrons of art and some were even artists. Under the Sassanids, poetry, singing, music, and art grew extremely popular, and many patrons such as Khosrow Parviz and Ardeshir protected and promoted musicians. Several musicians, like Ramtin, Bamshad, Barbad, and Nagisa became masterful to an extent that their influences surpassed their own time. NaGISA

NaGISA (Natural Geography in Shore Areas or Natural Geography of In-Shore Areas) is an international collaborative effort aimed at inventorying, cataloguing, and monitoring biodiversity of the in-shore area. So named for the Japanese word "nagisa" ("where the land meets the sea"), it is an Apronym. NaGISA is the first project of the larger CoML effort (Census of Marine Life) to have global participation in actual field work. The actual procedures of this project involve inexpensive collection equipment (for easy universal participation). This equipment is used to photograph sampling sites, to actually take samples from the sites, and to process these samples. At each site throughout the world, samples are taken from the intertidal zone out to a depth of 10 meters (and optionally out to 20 meters depth). These samples are then processed (the organisms are isolated) and then analyzed and catalogued. The information (regarding the kind and number of organisms analyzed) is sent to the global headquarters of NaGISA- the University of Kyoto in Japan. All of this information is then collated on the Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS website). The end goal of the larger CoML effort is to find what was, what is, and what will be in the world's oceans. For NaGISA the goal is to find this in the world's in-shore areas.
