Nada Personal may refer to:
Nada personal (album)
Nada Personal (Spanish for Nothing Personal or Don't Take It Personally) is the second album recorded by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, and released in 1985. It was recorded at Moebio Studios in Buenos Aires and remastered in 2007 at Sterling Sound Studios in New York.
"Nada Personal" provided the band with at least three successful singles, which became the breakout songs for the band all over Ibero-America. The album showed Soda Stereo in a new musical direction focused mainly on the British New Wave style. The most successful singles from the album were "Juegos De Seducción" (Games of Seduction), "Nada Personal" (Nothing Personal) and "Cuando pase el temblor" (When the Earthquake Ends). Those songs enjoyed strong airplay during 1985 and 1986, primarily in Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile.
Such successful songs were performed live twice at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival held in Chile in February, 1987. Many people (including music journalists) consider these two shows very historic.
Nada Personal (song)
Nada Personal is a song written by Armando Manzanero that was the theme song for the telenovela of 1999 Nada personal directed by Antonio Serrano.
The song was included in the album of the same name and again in 1993 in the album Mis Canciones Favoritas both of Manzanero. The first is still considered one of the most successful albums of Azteca Music. The song was recorded a third time in the 2005 album Esencial of Spanish singer Ana Torroja, ex lead singer for Mecano. The song is a duet with Manzanero.
The song talks about a man who has a relationship with someone he lives with but there is "nothing personal". The reason that there is nothing personal in the relationship is because the two share so much.
