Naas General Hospital is located in Craddockstown, Naas in County Kildare, just a short distance from Naas' town center, in Ireland. This General Hospital provides acute services for the population of around 200,000 people in County Kildare and western parts of County Wicklow.
The hospital was originally built to serve as a workhouse in the 1840s, then in 1922 around the time of Ireland's independence from Britain it became Naas County Hospital. Then in 1981 the Department of Health began to develop the hospital as a general hospital. And soon began the hospital's journey to become the modern facility it is today.
A more recent multi-million euro development of the hospital produced a new, modern building, now with 8 wards and 243 beds. Naas General Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient services, 24 hour accident and emergency services, day procedures, radiology, pathology and physical medicine, along with many other services and facilities. These services are provided by medical, surgical, nursing, paramedical and ancillary staff, for the people living in the catchment area of Kildare and West Wicklow.

Life expectancy in Thailand is seventy years. A system providing universal health care for Thai nationals has been established since 2002.
Health and medical care is overseen by the Ministry of Public Health, along with several other non-ministerial government agencies, with total national expenditure on health amounting to 4.3 percent of GDP in 2009. HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other infectious diseases are serious public health issues. In recent years non-communicable diseases and injuries have also become important causes of morbidity and mortality.
The majority of health care services in Thailand is delivered by the public sector, which includes 1,002 hospitals and 9,765 health stations. Universal health care is provided through three programs: the civil service welfare system for civil servants and their families, Social Security for private employees, and the Universal Coverage scheme theoretically available to all other Thai nationals. Some private hospitals are participants in these programs, though most are financed by patient self-payment and private insurance. According to the World Bank, under Thailand’s health schemes, 99.5% of the population have health protection coverage.

Naas (/ˈneɪs/; Irish: Nás na Ríogh, pronounced [n̪ˠaːsˠ n̪ˠə ɾʲiː], or An Nás [ən̪ˠ n̪ˠaːsˠ]) is the county town of County Kildare in Ireland. In 2011, it had a population of 20,713, making it the largest town in the North Kildare Suburban region . Naas is also a major commuter suburb, with many people residing there and working in Dublin.
The Irish language name for Naas, Nás na Ríogh literally translates as Meeting Place of the Kings. The town historically hosted meetings of pre-Norman Irish kings from the Kingdom of Leinster. After the Norman invasion in 1169–71 AD, some meetings of the Parliament of Ireland were held in the town. Many of the earlier settlers in Kildare were Cambro-Normans from Wales therefore the medieval church was dedicated to Saint David.
In the Middle Ages, Naas became a walled market town and was occasionally raided by the O'Byrne and O'Toole clans from the nearby area which became County Wicklow. Naas features on the 1598 map by Abraham Ortelius as "Nosse". (It is worth noticing the "O Byrne" and "O Tolo" (O'Toole) names appearing prominently on the map).
