Na veka (Russian: На века) is Russian pop rock band Korni's debut album, released in May 2003 by Mainstream Production.
The album was recorded in the genre Europop to the influence of synthpop and pop rock.
VEKA AG of Germany is the world's largest extruder of uPVC profiles used for windows and doors. The company started its operations in 1969 as a manufacturer of shutters in Sendenhorst, Germany and has its own extrusion facilities in 12 countries (the United States, Russia, Poland, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, China, India, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Chile) and representative offices in more than 40 countries across the world, including the United Arab Emirates and India.
VEKA was founded in 1967 as Vekaplast, producing roller shutters out of a fifteen thousand square foot rented facility. Two years later, one of the original employees, Heinrich Laumann purchased the company and began designing window systems, the first of which were unveiled in 1971.
Six years later, VEKA was able to build a manufacturing site. Today, in addition to this first facility, ten other sister facilities operate in eight countries on three continents.
1969 Heinrich Laumann takes over VEKAPLAST. With 8 staff, the regional company produces roller shutters and construction profiles reaching an annual turnover of 1.7 million DM.
Veka (Polish: bułka paryska or bułka francuska) is a pastry produced in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Its character is similar to French baguette although the veka is wider, bigger, and fluffier and has smoother surface. It is made of wheat flour. Its weight is about 350 grams.
It is commonly used creating of open sandwiches called obložené chlebíčky. Eating of obložený chlebíček as a fast food snack is widespread habit and they are even sold in specialized shops called bufet or chlebíčkárna ("bread shop").
The veka can be used for certain types of knedlik (knödel). It is a major ingredient of žemlovka dish.
