NXT Arrival

NXT Arrival (stylized as NXT arRIVAL) was a professional wrestling event produced by WWE, featuring their developmental branch NXT, that took place on February 27, 2014 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

It was a special episode of WWE NXT and the first live professional wrestling event streamed online via the WWE Network.

Six professional wrestling matches took place during the event. In the main event, Bo Dallas defended the NXT Championship against Adrian Neville in a ladder match, which Neville won to become the new champion. The card also featured Paige defeating Emma to retain the NXT Women's Championship and Cesaro defeating Sami Zayn. The event was praised by critics, but some experienced technical issues viewing the live stream, which WWE later acknowledged.

Storylines

NXT Arrival featured professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines that played out on the WWE NXT television program. Wrestlers portrayed faces (heroes) or heels (villains) as they followed a series of events that built tension and culminated in a match or a series of matches.

    Nxt

Nxt is an open source cryptocurrency and payment network launched in November 2013 by anonymous software developer BCNext. It uses proof-of-stake to reach consensus for transactions - as such there is a static money supply and, unlike bitcoin, no mining. Nxt was specifically conceived as a flexible platform around which to build applications and financial services. It has an integrated Asset Exchange (comparable to shares), messaging system and marketplace. Users can also create new currencies within the system. The last major release enabled Multisignature capabilities and a plugin-system for the client.

Nxt has been covered extensively in the "Call for Evidence" report by ESMA, to which the Nxt community responded in July 2015.

    History

On 28 September 2013 Bitcointalk.org member BCNext created a forum thread announcing the proposed launch of Nxt as a second generation cryptocurrency and asking for small bitcoin donations to determine how to distribute the initial stake. On 18 November 2013 fundraising for Nxt was closed, with 21 BTC raised. The genesis block was published on 24 November 2013. It revealed that 1,000,000,000 coins had been distributed to 73 stakeholders in proportion to their level of contribution. The source code was partially released on 3 January. The full source code was released on 1 March 2014 under the MIT License.

    WWE NXT (TV series)

WWE NXT is a professional wrestling television program that is produced by WWE and is broadcast on the WWE Network. Since June 2012, it has served as the flagship television show of WWE's developmental system. Prior to this, NXT existed as a seasonal show which was presented as a hybrid between reality television and WWE's scripted live event shows, in which they acquired any select talent contracted from WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) as the Developmental subsidiary of NXT to participated in a competition to become WWE's next "breakout star" with the help of mentors from WWE's Raw and SmackDown brands. Five seasons of this version of NXT were broadcast from February 23, 2010 to June 13, 2012, with the first four seasons seeing Wade Barrett, Kaval, Kaitlyn and Johnny Curtis as winners. In the later stages of season five, the all-rookie competition was abandoned with no winner being officially named, although Derrick Bateman was the final remaining rookie on NXT Redemption after both Titus O'Neil and Darren Young were signed to the SmackDown brand. Following the end of the fifth season, WWE ended the seasonal competition format of the show and renamed its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling to WWE NXT. The show originally made its debut on Syfy on February 23, 2010, replacing ECW, which concluded the previous week. In April 2010, a month after its premiere, it was announced that SmackDown would move from MyNetworkTV to Syfy on October 1.NXT aired its final episode on Syfy on September 28, 2010 to make way for SmackDown moving there on October 1, 2010 and began airing as a webcast at WWE.com for visitors from the United States from October 5, 2010 to June 13, 2012. It soon aired as a WWE Network exclusive from 2014, where it remains today.
