NBA 2K13

NBA 2K13 is a basketball video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It was released on October 2, 2012 in North America for the Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and Wii. A version for the Wii U was also released as a launch title in North America, and in December for the PAL region. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls are the cover athletes.NBA 2K13 is the successor to NBA 2K12 in the NBA 2K series.

Development

Around mid-June 2012 2K Sports announced a 'Uncover the Cover' where the more tweets #NBA2K13 got the more clues would be revealed about the cover athletes. 2K also announced NBA 2K13's compatibility with Kinect for the Xbox 360. Two of the legends from NBA 2K12 have been removed: Julius Erving and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. On May 3, 2012, 2K Sports announced that as a bonus for pre-ordering the game, buyers would receive downloadable content for an All Star Weekend, which would feature the Slam Dunk Contest, Three Point Contest, Rising Stars Challenge, and the NBA All Star Game. Also a shoe creator was developed, with Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Spalding, Reebok, Converse, Under Armour, and generic shoes available to create and edit.

National Basketball Association

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the pre-eminent men's professional basketball league in North America, and is widely considered to be the premier men's professional basketball league in the world. It has 30 franchised member clubs (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada), and is an active member of USA Basketball (USAB), which is recognized by FIBA (also known as the International Basketball Federation) as the national governing body for basketball in the United States. The NBA is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues. NBA players are the world's best paid sportsmen, by average annual salary per player.

The league was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The league adopted the name National Basketball Association on August 3, 1949, after merging with its rival National Basketball League (NBL). The league's several international as well as individual team offices are directed out of its head offices located in the Olympic Tower at 645 Fifth Avenue in New York City. NBA Entertainment and NBA TV studios are directed out of offices located in Secaucus, New Jersey.

2010–11 NBA season

The 2010–11 NBA season was the 65th season of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2011 NBA All-Star Game was played on February 20, 2011 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The season concluded with the Dallas Mavericks defeating the Miami Heat in six games, 4 games to 2, to win their first NBA title, and Dirk Nowitzki was named Finals MVP. Chicago's Derrick Rose was named the 2010–11 NBA MVP.

On May 21, the Philadelphia 76ers hired Doug Collins as head coach, replacing Eddie Jordan who was fired on May 15.

On June 7, the New Orleans Hornets hired Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach Monty Williams as head coach, replacing interim head coach Jeff Bower who returned to his original position as general manager.

On June 10, the New Jersey Nets hired Avery Johnson as head coach, replacing interim head coach Kiki Vandeweghe whose contract expired at the end of the 2009–2010 season.

On June 13, the Atlanta Hawks promoted assistant coach Larry Drew, replacing head coach Mike Woodson whose contract expired at the end of the 2009–10 season.

NBA is a series of four basketball video games developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The games are licensed by the National Basketball Association (NBA), and are one of several different NBA-focused basketball video game series. The games released in the series are NBA 06, NBA 07, NBA 08, and NBA 09: The Inside.

NBA 06

NBA '06: Featuring the Life Vol. 1 is a basketball video game which was released on October 4, 2005 for the PSP and November 1, 2005 on PlayStation 2. It is the 1st installment of the NBA: Featuring the Life series by Sony Computer Entertainment. The product features Phoenix Suns power forward/center Amar'e Stoudemire on the cover. You may also compete in a new feature the PlayStation's Skills challenge. Not in any other NBA games.

This mode is a unique feature to the game and you take role as an NBA rookie. First, you must create your player and then go to pre-draft training camp of your favorite team.(You get to choose). After that you go to the draft and get picked by that team. Next is summer leagues and then eventually pro games. During those games you have to complete goals like scoring a certain amount of points or holding their star to no steals. If you fail at least one of the goals you have to start the event all over again. So if your player scores 100 points but fails to block someone( if to block someone is a goal) you will be forced to start the challenge over.
