Strings! is the second album by guitarist Pat Martino recorded in 1967 and released on the Prestige label.
Reception
Allmusic awarded the album 4 stars stating "Guitarist Pat Martino's second recording as a leader finds him essentially playing advanced bop. His quintet really roars on an uptempo version of "Minority" and is diverse enough to come up with meaningful statements on four of Martino's originals".

Strings (2011 film)
Strings is a 2011 American dramatic thriller film about a musician who discovers his therapist manipulates patients into committing crimes. The film is the product of the Texas filmmaking team, Mark Dennis and Ben Foster. It was written, produced, and directed by Dennis and was produced and directed by Foster on a budget of $65,000. Dennis and Foster graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Radio/TV/Film and are both musicians. The extremely low-budget film collected major awards at film festivals across the United States in 2011 and 2012.

Flex (film)
Flex is a 2000 video installation by the British video artist Chris Cunningham. It consists of a 15-minute film loop that endlessly depicts a naked man and woman floating in darkness, who by turns embrace and furiously beat one another, culminating in an act of anal sex during which they disappear in a blast of light. The film is set to an electronic soundtrack by Aphex Twin.
It was first displayed to the public in 2000 as part of the Apocalypse: Beauty and Horror in Contemporary Art exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, and subsequently at the Anthony d'Offay Gallery and other art galleries.
It was given an 18 certificate by the BBFC, with no cuts from its original form.
A 3.5-minute excerpt of the 17-minute film was released on the DVD The Work of Director Chris Cunningham.
It was also re-edited for the back-drop screen projection during Madonna's performance of "Frozen" during her Re-Invention World Tour.
The full 17-minute video was shown in the Barbican's exhibition Seduced: Art and Sex from Antiquity to Now curated by Martin Kemp, Marina Wallace and Joanne Bernstein. alongside other pieces by Bacon, Klimt, Rembrandt, Rodin and Picasso.
FLEX (satellite)
The FLuorescence EXplorer (FLEX) is a planned mission by the European Space Agency to launch a satellite to monitor the global steady-state chlorophyll fluorescence in terrestrial vegetation. FLEX was selected for funding on 19 November 2015 and will be launched in 2022.
Overview
The FLuorescence EXplorer (FLEX) mission is the eighth mission in the Earth Explorer programme. It comprises a satellite for the global monitoring of steady-state chlorophyll fluorescence in terrestrial vegetation. Leaf photosynthesis releases energy not required in the biochemical process in the form of light in wavelength between 640 and 800 nanometres. After more than 70 years of basic and applied research in chlorophyll fluorescence, it is now established that fluorescence is a sensitive indicator of photosynthesis in both healthy and physiologically perturbed vegetation that can be used to monitor croplands and forests.
Fluorescence is a powerful non-invasive tool to track the status, resilience, and recovery of photochemical processes, and provides important information on overall photosynthetic performance with implications for related carbon sequestration. The early responsiveness of fluorescence to atmospheric, soil and plant water balance, as well as to atmospheric chemistry and human intervention in land usage, makes it a useful biological indicator in improving the understanding of Earth system dynamics.

The monk (also mystic) is a playable character class in most editions of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. A D&D monk is a fantasy martial artist, specializing in unarmed combat.

Dungeons & Dragons
The original monk character class was created by Brian Blume, inspired by the fictional martial arts of the Destroyer series of novels. The monk was introduced in 1975's Blackmoor supplement.
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition
The monk was a main character class in the first edition Players Handbook. The monk was presented as one of the five core classes in the original Players Handbook.
In 1981, Philip Meyers argued that "the monk is the weakest of the character classes" in an article published in Dragon Magazine #53 (later reprinted in Best of Dragon, Volume III). Meyers offered an extensive unofficial revision to the class, expanding and strengthening many of its game abilities (for example, increasing the monk's hit dice by 50%, raising the maximum level from 17 to 21, and adding class abilities as a "form of psionic power").
