My Secret Identity

My Secret Identity is a Canadian television series starring Jerry O'Connell and Derek McGrath. Originally broadcast from October 9, 1988 to May 25, 1991 on CTV in Canada, the series also aired in syndication in the United States. The series won the 1989 International Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Programming for Children and Young People.

Synopsis

O'Connell stars as 14-year-old Andrew Clements, who while looking one day for his friend, Dr. Benjamin Jeffcoate (McGrath), trips and is hit by a photon beam, causing him to develop superpowers. He uses these abilities to fight crime, to solve personal problems and to help others. He hides his powers from his mother, sister and friends with the exception of Jeffcoate. Andrew initially called himself Ultraman, but this was later dropped.

Powers

Initially, Clements' powers include superhuman speed, invulnerability, and levitation. Clements gains super-strength after being hit by the photon beam a second time.

In the first season, Andrew must carry around aerosol spray containers and use them to move through the air, as his 'flying' ability is limited; he can make himself nearly weightless, and move up without any problems, but he cannot propel himself through the air or move down without some external force. However, he can jump quite high, and do impossible flips. In the second season, without explanation, Andrew gains the ability to move through the air without the use of aerosol cans. Later in that season, after being struck by the photon beam a second time, Andrew develops superhuman strength but loses his invulnerability.

My Secret

My Secret is the third album released by Hong Kong singer G.E.M. The standard version was released on 29 October 2010. A box set for the album was released on 1 November 2010.

"My Secret (Didja Gitit Yet?)" is a 1985 song by R&B/pop group New Edition, is the fifth and final single from their eponymous second album, New Edition. Released while New Edition’s third single, the better received “Lost In Love,” was still peaking; it didn’t get as much promotion, and subsequently didn’t perform as well as the previous singles from the album.

A secret identity is a person's alter ego which is not known to the general populace, most often used in fiction. The concept is particularly prevalent in American comic books.

In American comic books, a character typically has dual identities, with one identity being a superhero persona and the other a civilian persona, the secret identity. Superheroes often have a secret identity to protect themselves from legal ramifications, pressure, or public scrutiny, and also to protect their friends and loved ones from harm secondary to their actions as superheroes.

Superheroes often use pseudonyms or wear masks to complete a costume in order to conceal their secret identities.
