Hobbi al-Wahid

Hobbi al-Wahid  listen  (Arabic: حبي الوحيد‎, English: My Only Love) is a 1960 Egyptian drama/romance film directed by the Egyptian film director Kamal El Sheikh. It starred Omar Sharif, Kamal Al-Shennawi, and Nadia Lutfi.

Plot

Mona is in a love triangle with Adel (Omar Sharif), an airplane pilot who she loves, and Rushdi (Kamal Al-Shennawi), a family friend of Mona, who she has rejected on several occasions.

On the day of Adel and Mona's engagement party, Adel is bringing Mona's friend, Hoda, but there is a car accident on their way. When Mona telephones Adel to see why he is late, Hoda replies, consequently Mona thinks Adel is having an affair with her. She agrees to marry Rushdi, but after their marriage, he treats her badly. She conceives but after learning she has become pregnant, Adel hits her, thus making her miscarry.

Hoda meets Mona secretly and tells her the truth. Shocked by the truth, she asks Rushdi to divorce her. Rushdi plans to murder Mona, but he fails, and his plan is discovered. Mona spares Rushdi from any charges in return for their divorce. She is reunited with Adel.

My Only Love

My Only Love is a Philippine drama airing on GMA Network as the fifth installment of Sine Novela. The original movie was released back in 1982. The show aired from November 12, 2007 to February 29, 2008.

Plot

They are teeners trapped in the conflicted world of their parents. Two children of two marriages gone sour. Young and confused by the whole situation, they try to look for answers, but the whole business of life is not as simple as it seems. Left with no choice but to come to terms with whatever it is that life presents, they rely on each other for emotional support. And in the process, they learn that despite their parents marital woes, much remains in life and love reserved for the two of them.

"Only Love" is a song written by Robbie Buchanan and Mark Spiro and it was first recorded by Englebert Humperdinck sometime in between the 1970s and 1980s, and was then recorded by the late tejano singer Selena in 1989 and was not released until 1996, when it was released for the first time on her 1996 tribute album Siempre Selena and then again on the Selena movie soundtrack a year later in 1997 following Selena's death in 1995. Plot summary

Bong (Vhong Navarro) has liked Winona (Toni Gonzaga) since time immemorial but he never had the courage to pursue her. Winona on the other hand, seems to be also showing interest in Bong, but he is too insensible to notice this. One day, in the tenement Bong is managing for his Aunt Lolit, he receives the final notes from the recently deceased neighborhood Doctor. Panying, Doc’s assistant, hands Bong his result an just hand out Winona’s. He checks out his letter and sees that the results are all negative. Bong is very healthy. However, as he opens Winona’s envelope, fear drowns him because he knows about the so-called curse that all the women in Winona’s family die before 25. Her mother died after giving birth at the age of 24, her older brother died of bangungot at age 21, her maternal aunt disappeared during Martial Law at 23, her grandmother died during World War II at age 20, her great grandmother is said that she died of drowning at age 18, her greatest grandmother died of malaria at age 22, he ancestor was devoured by a dinosaur at age 19. Bong is aware that Winona is turning 25 soon and this letter might just confirm that curse. He opens the letter and sees the result. It is positive. Winona has lupus and she will die soon. Bong vows to make Winona’s last remaining days happy and perfect. Bong goes through the whole montage of making life blissful for Winona. Winona and Bong become a lot closer to each other. They begin to fall in love. When Winona turned 25, she didn’t die. She found the letter sent by the hospital. She discovers then that her results were all negative. Bong finds out about the good news, he is thrilled. So whose results did Bong find? Who was the real person with lupus?
