The Lakes (Danish: Søerne) in Copenhagen, Denmark are a row of three rectangular lakes curving around the western margin of the City Centre, forming one of the oldest and most distinctive features of the city's topography. The paths around them are popular with strollers, bikers and runners.
Originally the area, which the lakes now form, was one long stream. It had an arch shape and was just outside the city levees. In the early Middle Ages, a need of water for watermills was determined. As a result of this a dam was built and the Peblinge Sø was created.
As a result of a siege of Copenhagen in 1523, it was decided to expand the entrenchments in order to improve the fortifications of the city. The levee at Peblinge Sø was expanded and another was created, which resulted in the creation of Sortedams Sø. In the beginning of the 16th century, Sankt Jørgens Sø was created, by further damming. This made it possible to flood the banks and lakes in case of an attack.
Roads in the United Kingdom form a network of varied quality and capacity. Road distances are shown in miles or yards and UK speed limits are indicated in miles per hour (mph) or by the use of the national speed limit (NSL) symbol. Some vehicle categories have various lower maximum limits enforced by speed limiters. Enforcement of UK road speed limits increasingly uses speed guns, automated in-vehicle systems and automated roadside traffic cameras. A unified numbering system is in place for Great Britain, whilst in Northern Ireland, there is no available explanation for the allocation of road numbers.
The earliest specifically engineered roads were built during the British Iron Age. The road network was expanded during the Roman occupation. Some of these survive and others were lost. New roads were added in the Middle Ages and from the 17th century onwards. Whilst control has been transferred from local to central bodies and back again, current management and development of the road network is shared between local authorities, the devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and the Highways Agency. Certain aspects of the legal framework remain under the competence of the United Kingdom parliament.
The Lakes is the title of a television drama series in the United Kingdom, made by the BBC and created and principally written by Jimmy McGovern. The Lakes brought writer Jimmy McGovern and actor John Simm a great deal of critical praise in 1997. Following a particularly dry period for British TV drama, the show's realistic characters and their painfully honest decisions hit audiences hard. Simm plays Danny Kavanagh; a twenty-something trapped in a life of compulsive gambling, theft, and being on the dole in Liverpool. On a whim he heads north to the Lake District. He expects to find countryside quiet where he might explore his hidden poetical leanings, but gets caught up in a community like any other. Lies, temptation and tragedy beset every household just as much as the big city. As time races by, Danny's link to the Lakes becomes an exercise in torment when he is suspected after the accidental deaths of three schoolgirls. Stoking the flames of a series of secondary explosions in waiting are a pair of affairs, one adulterous, the other complicated by religion.

My Girl 2 is a 1994 comedy-drama film starring Anna Chlumsky, Dan Aykroyd, Christine Ebersole, Jamie Lee Curtis, Richard Masur, Austin O'Brien, and Roland Thomson. It's a sequel to 1991's My Girl.
All cast members from the first film except for Macaulay Culkin, Griffin Dunne, Ann Nelson, and Peter Michael Goetz appear in it.
A book based on the script was written by Patricia Hermes in 1994.
Set two years after the first film, in the Spring of 1974, Vada Sultenfuss (Anna Chlumsky) goes on a quest to learn more about her deceased biological mother. She has matured over the past year and a half (since the first movie), going from the spunky, eleven-year-old hypochondriac to a lively, yet more serious teenager seeking independence. Her father, Harry (Dan Aykroyd), has married Shelly DeVoto (Jamie Lee Curtis), and they are expecting a baby. They still live in the Sultenfuss' funeral home in Madison, Pennsylvania, while her Uncle Phil (Richard Masur) has moved to Los Angeles where he works as a mechanic. Vada's grandmother has also died and Vada still wears the mood ring that reminds her of her late friend Thomas J.

Ohhhhh
Last night you said you wanted to talk wit me
I was at work and you know how my job can be
So then you said it could wait until later on
Cuz it wasn't all that important so I guess we can talk when you get home
So then you got me thinking about what I might have done
Wondering if I did something wrong (something wrong)
But then again and within this time I thought that you were mad
It could've been that just made you happy
Chorus:
If there's anything that you want, you need
Don't be afraid to ask cuz youâ're my girl
If there's anything that you want, you need
Don't be afraid to ask cuz youâ're my girl
Girl don't you my whole world stops for you
And in this relationship you are the person I run to
And I appreciate how you respect my space
But on the real I'm there for anytime of day
You should never start to wonder where you stand
Cuz everyday I want to show you that I'm your man
Chorus: x2
Cuz these nobody whos got your back like I do, girl
Oh no baby see no trouble
I'm your man
I'm gonna be there for you
Chorus fades
