To be announced

To be announced (TBA), to be confirmed (TBC), and to be determined (or to be decided, TBD) are placeholder terms used very broadly in event planning to indicate that although something is scheduled or expected to happen, a particular aspect of that remains to be arranged or confirmed.

TBA vs. TBC vs. TBD

These phrases are similar, but may be used for different degrees of indeterminacy:

Other similar phrases sometimes used to convey the same meaning, and using the same abbreviations, include "to be ascertained", "to be arranged", "to be advised", "to be adjudicated", "to be done", "to be decided", and "to be declared".

Use of the abbreviation "TBA" is formally reported in a reference work at least as early as 1955, and "TBD" is similarly reported as early as 1967.

TBC (band)

TBC (styled as tbc), are a Christian girl band who were launched by Innervation Trust in 2004, as a "flagship" girl band alongside their brother band Thebandwithnoname. Innervation Trust is a Christian charity that exists to recruit and resource schools teams, dubbed "Collectives", each dedicated to a major city in the UK. Innervation Trust is the product of Mark Pennells and Zarc Porter, a songwriter/producer partnership also credited with writing most of the music for, and co-founding, the World Wide Message Tribe. After 7 years of promoting the Collective bands throughout every region of the UK, they were replaced by the primary school project, Pop Connection. This has since been replaced by iSingPOP. iSingPOP works in primary schools and will spend a week teaching all the children a number of songs (usually 7) as a choir and the next week will perform these songs in their local church or activity hall/centre with an audience. They also have a recording day to make their very own album.

Matt Schwartz

Matt Schwartz (born 26 October 1971) is an Israeli-British multi-instrumentalist record producer a songwriter, an artist, DJ, and a prolific audio engineer based in London. He has contributed to numerous records since 1995 as an engineer, producer, composer, musician and a songwriter, working with all the UK major record labels, he also had several club chart toppers and a few top 10 chart and airplay charts records in the UK, US and Europe as an artist.

Biography and life

Born in Israel, Schwartz came to London in the early 90's. Schwartz enrolled at Kingston University, and a year later began working at the Hit-House in Hammersmith between 1994–5 with the likes of Farley Jack Master Funk, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Matt Jam and Carl Brown, plus many more while producing records with James F. Reynolds.

Schwartz worked at BeatFarm studios in 1996-8, making hundreds of records with the likes of Massive Attack,Mica Paris,Arthur Baker, Sara J, Tall Paul,Wamdue Project,JTQ and a host of others while developing unsigned bands and making his own records.

Velocifero

Velocifero is the fourth studio album by English electronic band Ladytron and their first to be released by Nettwerk. The album was made available on the iTunes Store as of 19 May 2008, followed by a physical release on 2 June in the United Kingdom and on 3 June elsewhere. Velocifero peaked at number seventy-five on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's second highest-charting album to date in the UK (after Gravity the Seducer reached number seventy-two in 2011). It was also their first album to chart on the US Billboard 200, reaching number 131.

According to band member Reuben Wu, "velocifero" literally means "bringer of speed", and is also the name of a classic retro-styled scooter. "Black Cat" and "Kletva" are both sung entirely in Bulgarian. "Kletva" (which means "oath") is a cover of a song from a solo album by Kiril Marichkov of Bulgarian rock band Shturtzite. Daniel Hunt provided additional vocals on "Versus".

Velocifero produced three singles: "Ghosts", "Runaway" and "Tomorrow".

Ghosts (The Marked Men album)

Ghosts is the fourth album by the Denton, Texas punk rock band The Marked Men, released January 27, 2009 by Dirtnap Records. Like their previous albums, the band recorded, produced, and mixed it themselves in a converted shed in their hometown of Denton.

The album received positive reviews from critics, with most noting that its speed and the brevity of most of the songs necessitated repeat listens in order to notice its more intricate qualities. Bryne Yancey of Punknews.org remarked that "there's so much going on underneath the surface of these songs that once all the intricacies hit your ears, it might cause you to wonder aloud if anyone else who's not in the band notices them. Sure, anyone can listen to the Marked Men, but to hear them is a completely different experience." Luke Jackson of Alternative Press noted "To be perfectly honest, Ghosts won't grab you at first. Sure, they're a band playing loud, fast, and exceptionally tight, but the pop-punk market has been so oversaturated that it takes a lot for a band like Marked Men to be anything but white noise. However, once you hit your fourth or fifth listen, the hooks will finally start to sink in."

Ghosts (Monolake album)

Ghosts is the seventh album from German techno music producer, Monolake (also known as Robert Henke). It is the second part of what is claimed to be a trilogy of three albums, that began with Monolake's sixth album, Silence. Although the album follows a primarily techno aesthetic, it also incorporates elements of drum n' bass, dubstep, and ambient music.

Production and critical reception

Some of the sounds of this album are notable in that they were created by sampling recordings that included frequencies outside of the range of human hearing (above 20 khz), and then transposed down into the audible range. In order to make this possible, the entire album was produced at a 96 khz sampling rate (contrasted with the typical 44.1khz rate). Despite wide-based praise for the sound design of the album, other reviewers commented that this came at this expense of the album's emotional impact.
