My Darkest Days
My Darkest Days is a Canadian rock band based in Peterborough, Ontario consisting of lead singer Matt Walst, bassist Brendan McMillan, drummer Doug Oliver, and keyboardist Reid Henry. They were discovered by Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, who signed them to his record label, 604 Records.
In June 2010 the band went on tour with Sick Puppies, Janus, and It's Alive, and shot a video in Las Vegas to support their first single, "Porn Star Dancing", released on June 21, 2010. In August 2010, they toured with Trapt, Skillet, and Papa Roach. Chad Kroeger appears and sings in the "Porn Star Dancing" video, as does American rapper Ludacris (in the extended version only) and Black Label Society frontman Zakk Wylde, playing lead guitar for the single. Matt Walst is currently the lead vocalist of Three Days Grace.
History
Early years
The band was founded by Matt Walst in 2005, who was born in Norwood, Ontario, and whose older brother, Brad Walst, is the bassist for Canadian rock band, Three Days Grace. Instead of playing in his brother's band, Matt decided to form one of his own with his friends Brendan McMillan on bass guitar, Doug Oliver on drums, and Chris McMillan on lead guitar. The talented Chris McMillan left the band and became an electrician being replaced by Paulo Nesta. In 2009, a friend introduced Walst to Toronto–based singer–guitarist Sal Costa, who later became the band's guitarist, replacing Paulo Neta, who became the guitarist for Thornley. However, the departure of Sal was confirmed on the website in a post dated January 9, 2013. My Darkest Days has opened for many bands, including Three Days Grace, Default, Theory of a Deadman, Skillet, Papa Roach, Nickelback, and Hinder.

My Darkest Days is the debut album by Canadian rock band My Darkest Days, released on September 21, 2010. The album has sold more than 100,000 copies in the US and more than 20,000 in Canada. The first single, "Porn Star Dancing", peaked at number seven on Billboard's Rock Songs chart and received a Gold certification in the United States and Platinum in Canada.

Darkest Days
Darkest Days is the third album released on Columbia Records by industrial rock band Stabbing Westward. The album was recorded in L.A. in 1997 and released in April 1998. Although the album failed to achieve the same level of success as Wither Blister Burn & Peel, the album received positive reviews and is often considered the band's best album. The band was dropped from Columbia Records following this release. The track "Save Yourself" reached number 4 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart (their highest-placing single on that chart) and number 20 on the U.S. Modern Rock chart and remains an alternative rock staple.
Darkest Days is a concept album made up of 4 acts, each portraying a different emotional phase gone through after a break-up. The first act (Tracks 1-4) is about sabotaging the relationship. The second act (Tracks 5-9) is about lust, hope, and longing. The third act (Tracks 10-12) is about hitting rock bottom after it's all over. The fourth act (13-16) is about recovery and self-respect.
Adultery (Dog Fashion Disco album)
Adultery is a concept album by Dog Fashion Disco, their sixth album, released in 2006, and last album to be released by the band before their dissolution in 2007. The album loosely follows the story of a private detective.

Background
After the band's deal with Artemis ended, drummer Mike "Ollie" Oliver left the band. This left Smith and Stepp to write most of the album on their own without a drummer. By chance, they asked former member John Ensminger to show up to drum for them; Ensminger then became the drummer on the album, completing the lineup. The music on the Adultery is still credited to every member of the band, as each member had their own input, specifically Matt Rippetoe, whose name is listed on the album cover with the rest of the band. Todd explains this as making up for leaving him off of the credits of their last album, Committed to a Bright Future.
Supporting tour
In support of the album, DFD embarked on the "Conjugal Visitors Tour" with Bad Acid Trip and Tub Ring supporting. Keyboardist Jeff Siegel was absent from this tour; instead, his position was filled by Tim Swanson. Also, since the Rotten Records was a considerably smaller label than Atremis, the venues booked for the tour were far smaller. Morale among the band was rather low. The shrinking tour size and low morale factored considerably to the band's decision to disband following the tour.
