2 Minutes to Midnight
"2 Minutes to Midnight" is a song by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, featured on their fifth studio album, Powerslave (1984). It was released as the band's tenth single, and first from the album on 6 August 1984 and rose to number 11 in the UK Singles Chart and number 25 on Billboard Top Album Tracks.
Synopsis
'2 Minutes to Midnight' was written by Adrian Smith and Bruce Dickinson.
The song title references the Doomsday Clock, the symbolic clock used by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which represents a countdown to potential global catastrophe. In September 1953 the clock reached 2 Minutes to Midnight, the closest it ever got to midnight, when the United States and Soviet Union tested H-bombs within nine months of one another. According to Dickinson, the song critically addresses "the romance of war" in general rather than the Cold War in particular.
Rainbow's Gold
The first B-side is a cover of British progressive rock band Beckett's "Rainbow's Gold", which was featured on their self-titled album released in 1974. The song was written by Terry Slesser and Kenny Mountain, respectively the band's vocalist and guitarist. On the original release, it is titled 'A Rainbow's Gold'.
Monster Truck Madness 2
Monster Truck Madness 2 (abbreviated as MTM2, codenamed "Metal Crush 2") is a monster truck racing video game developed by Terminal Reality and Edge of Reality, and published by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows 95, NT, and Nintendo 64 in 1998 and 1999. It's a sequel to Monster Truck Madness. The N64 version of the game was co-published with Rockstar.
Overview
This sequel offers improved graphics, an updated interface, new trucks and tracks and the addition of variable weather conditions when compared to its predecessor. However, the game engine is essentially the same, and most custom trucks and tracks are compatible with both games. The game contains assets from older TRI games, like Hellbender and CART Precision Racing.
The "Summit Rumble" king of the hill tracks could only be played if the player intended to compete online. Again, "Army" Armstrong provides commentary for the game. However, his race calls have been updated, and new ones have been added. Just like its predecessor, it contains an inaccessible truck, "Chuck's Car" (a Chevrolet Camaro). It was intended to be unlocked by typing in "CHUCK" in a race. The game still displays this message when typed: "Restart the game to drive Chuck's Car." However, if one restarts the game, it isn't there.
Myotubularin 1
Myotubularin is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MTM1 gene.
This gene is a member of a gene family that encodes tyrosine phosphatases. Myotubularin is required for muscle cell differentiation and mutations in this gene have been identified as being responsible for X-linked myotubular myopathy.
