Move On (David Jordan song)

"Move On" is the second chart single from David Jordan, taken from his first album Set the Mood. "Move On" peaked at number 68 on the UK Singles Chart.

Critical reception

Alex Fletcher of Digital Spy Chart Blog gave the song a positive review stating:

With a dash of Terence Trent D'Arby, a fair dollop of Justin Timberlake and a sprinkling of Prince, David Jordan looks to have stumbled upon a recipe for chart success. His first release 'Place In My Heart' got critics' tongues wagging, while his last single 'Sun Goes Down' had plenty of fans splashing their pocket money, bagging the Barnet-born warbler a number four chart spot. With his debut album Set The Mood wriggling up the top 40, it's perfect timing for release number three.

His latest titbit, 'Move On', follows a similar formula to his last two releases, focusing on Jordan's ability to switch between piercing falsetto and husky warbling at the drop of a beat. It ticks all the right boxes, with a crunching rhythm, plenty of zoom sound effects and a superb vocal performance from the 23-year-old. Unfortunately, it does little else beyond that and occasionally slips into boyband parody with ultra-emotional crooning and tacky breakdowns that were probably last heard on a 5ive record. Fortunately, behind all that, Jordan's obvious talents shine through, meaning his march towards pop stardom should continue uninterrupted. .

Bass Armstrong (バース・アームストロング Bāsu Āmusutorongu) is a retired professional wrestler and Tina's overprotective father. He is also the widower of Alicia Armstrong, who died of a disease when Tina was only six years old. He disapproves of Tina's aspirations of wanting to be a model (DOA2), a Hollywood actress (DOA3) and a rock star (DOA4). Consequently, he enters the DOA tournaments to put an end to her fame-seeking, only to fail at each attempt. In the fourth tournament, it is revealed that he intends to win so he would have enough money to enter the "Hyper Battle Grand Prix", which he then loses after seeing Tina's picture on a billboard and crashes into it after losing control of his bike. Like Tina in the English versions of the game, he, too, speaks with a Southern accent.

    Lisa (1990 film)

Lisa is an 1990 American thriller/drama film about a teenage girl's infatuation with a stranger that, unbeknownst to her, is a serial killer-stalker. The film was directed and co-written by Gary Sherman.

    Plot

Fourteen-year-old Lisa Holland (Staci Keanan) lives with her mother Katherine (Cheryl Ladd), a successful florist, in Venice Beach, California. Lisa is beginning to show a keen interest in boys but is not allowed to date due to her mother’s strict rule about not dating until she is 16. It is revealed that Katherine had Lisa when she was 14 years old. Abandoned by Lisa's father, Katherine was forced to leave home after her parents demanded that she put Lisa up for adoption. These facts have made Katherine very wary about Lisa dating, feeling she would end up like her mother. Lisa’s desire to have a boyfriend is furthered by her best friend Wendy Marks, whose less-strict mother and father have allowed her to start dating.

In the meanwhile there is a serial killer running loose in Venice Beach, nicknamed the Candlelight Killer, so called because he seduces and rapes his victims by candlelight before killing them. The Candlelight Killer is a suave, good-looking, and successful restaurateur named Richard (DW Moffett), who looks more like a sexy model than a serial killer. Richard stalks good-looking women and then stalks them once he finds out where they live. Uniquely, Richard calls his victims over the telephone leaving messages on their answering machines saying he's in their house and is going to kill them. As the women are listening to his message, Richard grabs them from behind and then begins his vicious attacks.

    LISA (organization)

LISA is the USENIX special interest group for system administrators. LISA was known officially as the System Administrators Guild until November 2003; from 2003 to 2010, it was known as SAGE.

    Major activities

  • Co-sponsors the annual system administration conference, also known as LISA.
  • Hosts several technical and professional mailing lists.
  • Provides a job listing service.
  • Compiles an annual salary survey of system administrators' salaries keyed to many variables.
  • Publishes a series of short topics booklets in the field of system administration.
  • Establishes and promotes a code of ethics for system administrators.
  • Supports local user groups.
  • Offers an IRC channel.
  • Presents an annual award for outstanding contributions to the field of system administration.
  • Proposed spinoff

In June 2004, SAGE was dissolved as a Special Technical Group to prepare for a spin-off from its parent organization, USENIX. On October 27, 2005, the USENIX Board, by a 4-4 vote, failed to approve a motion to progress the separation of SAGE from USENIX, declaring instead that SAGE is better as a suborganization. This contributed to the formation of LOPSA by individuals involved in the aborted spinoff.
