Thom Hell (born March 19, 1976) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. His birth name is Thomas Helland. He has released two EPs and five albums. After using his backing band "The Love Connection" (Bjarte Jørgensen, Frank Hammersland, Marte Wulff, Jørn Raknes and Vidar Ersfjord) on the two first albums and the following tours, he has now formed a new backing band consisting of different people from the Norwegian music scene (Even Ormestad, Thomas Aslaksen, Kjetil Grande, Asbjørn Ribe)
Hell also contributes on Norwegian singer-songwriter Marit Larsen's album Under the Surface where he joins Larsen in a duet for the song "To an End".
Thom released 2 EPs and 2 albums before being asked by Marit Larsen to be in her band. He also contributed to her first solo album. After leaving her band, he went on to release his critically acclaimed album "God If I Saw Her Now", for which he received two Norwegian Grammys. His next album "All Good Things" went on to win another one for best male artist of the year. Went to LA to record "Suddenly Past" in 2012. It was produced by the talented Jason Falkner. Recorded and released "Six" in 2014, and "Until This Blows Over" on the Voices Of Wonder label in 2015.
Mourning Sun, released in November 2005, is the fifth studio album (although it is fourth 'official' studio album) by Fields of the Nephilim. Vocalist Carl McCoy is the only original band member to be featured on this album. McCoy along with Carter (original Nefilim collaborator) spent eighteen months recording new demos in McCoy's mobile recording studio, dubbed "The Ice Cage" which took them to various places, including Norway. According to McCoy, Ice Cage sessions generated enough material for a double album, yet it was ultimately decided to narrow the track listing down to one disc. While McCoy has acknowledged that additional musicians were recruited for the writing and recording process, he has not disclosed their identities nor admitted whether they are included in the band's touring lineup; the only identified persons involved in the recording process to date are John "Capachino" Carter (a bass player who also worked with McCoy on Zoon demos in the beginning of 1990's.) and McCoy's daughters Scarlett and Eden on backing vocals for the title track. McCoy has admitted to having applied preprogrammed drums on some of the tracks, stressing at the same time that most of the drum parts "were created by a real human being - Carter."
Could give it another shot,
but it won't help us.
So much harder to break up; to make up.
Come home late; afraid to see me?
Cos we might say something hurtful, abuseful to us.
This is where we've come to.
There was a time when it was me and you.
Though it's hard to keep moving;
it's the only way to get over you my love
(over you my love).
You're still asleep; you don't hear me.
How come I feel so decieving; leaving it all?
This is what it's come to.
There was a time when it was me and you.
And though it's hard to keep moving;
it's the only way to get over you my love...over you my
love.
(over you my love)
This is what it's come to.
There was a time when it was me and you.
Though it's hard to keep moving;
it's the only way to get over you my love...over you my
love.
