"Morgen!" ("Tomorrow!") is the last in a set of four songs composed in 1894 by the German composer Richard Strauss. It is designated Opus 27, Number 4.
The German love poem Morgen! which is the text of the song was written by Strauss's contemporary, John Henry Mackay, of partly Scottish descent but brought up in Germany.

Strauss had met Mackay in Berlin, and set Morgen! to music on 21 May 1894. It was the one of his four Lieder Opus 27, a wedding present to his wife Pauline. Initially, he set the accompaniment for piano alone, and for piano with violin. It was not until three years later, in 1897, that he arranged the accompaniment for orchestra, still with the violin solo, which is its feature. It remains one of Strauss's best-known and most widely recorded works, and one of his most beautiful songs.
Instrumentation and accompaniment [link]
Strauss wrote the serene accompaniment for orchestral strings, with the addition of a solo violin, a harp and three horns. The orchestral strings are muted, and the dynamic throughout is pianissimo or softer. The harp, playing arpeggios, and the solo violin accompany continuously, and the horns do not play until the last few bars when the violin pauses before ending with an ascending phrase. The last chord is joined by a solo horn.[1]

Morgen
A morgen was a unit of measurement of land area in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the Dutch colonies, including South Africa and Taiwan. The size of a morgen varies from 1⁄2 to 2 1⁄2 acres, which equals approximately 0.2 to 1 hectare. It was also used in old Prussia, in the Balkans, Norway and Denmark, where it was equal to about two-thirds of an acre (0.27 ha).
The word is usually taken to be the same as the German and Dutch word for "morning". Similarly to the Imperial acre, it was approximately the amount of land tillable by one man behind an ox in the morning hours of a day. The morgen was commonly set at about 60–70% of the tagwerk (literally "day work") referring to a full day of ploughing. In 1869, the North German Confederation fixed the morgen at a quarter hectare (i.e. 2500 square meters) but in modern times most farmland work is measured in full hectares. The next lower measurement unit was the German "rute" or Imperial rod but the metric rod length of 5 metres never became popular. The morgen is still used in Taiwan today, called "kah"; 1 kah is roughly 2 acres or 9,000 m2.
Morgen (band)
Morgen was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Long Island. Their only album, "Morgen", is considered one of the best (though obscure) heavy American psychedelic rock albums of the 1960s.
Morgen was founded in 1968 by Steve Morgen, Bobby Rizzo, Murray Schiffrin, Mike Ratti, and Barry Stock. Originally, the band was named "Morgen’s Dreame Spectrum" but was later changed to simply "Morgen".
Kris
The kris (Ngoko Javanese: ꦏꦼꦫꦶꦱ꧀ ;Krama Javanese: ꦮꦁꦏꦶꦔꦤ꧀;Ngoko Gêdrìk: kêrìs ; Krama Gêdrìk: wangkingan; lit. "to slice") is an asymmetrical dagger with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron (pamor). While most strongly associated with the culture of Indonesia the kris is also indigenous to Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Singapore and the southern Philippines where it is known as kalis with variants existing as a sword rather than a dagger. The kris is famous for its distinctive wavy blade, although many have straight blades as well.
Kris have been produced in many regions of Indonesia for centuries, but nowhere—although the island of Bali comes close—is the kris so embedded in a mutually-connected whole of ritual prescriptions and acts, ceremonies, mythical backgrounds and epic poetry as in Central Java. As a result, in Indonesia the kris is commonly associated with Javanese culture, although other ethnicities are familiar with the weapon as part of their culture, such as the Balinese, Sundanese, Madurese, Banjar, Thais, and Filipinos. It is also highly associated with and a part of Malay and Moro (Muslim Filipino) culture.
Kris Wu
Wu Yifan (Chinese: 吴亦凡; pinyin: Wú Yìfán), best known by his stage name, Kris (Korean: 크리스) (born November 6, 1990), is a Canadian-Chinese actor and singer-songwriter currently active in China. He immigrated to Canada at the age of 11 and holds Canadian citizenship; he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, English, as well as Korean.
Early life
Wu's birth name was Li Jiaheng but he had changed it for personal and unknown purposes. Kevin Li was his English name before becoming the member of EXO (Chinese: 李嘉恒; pinyin: Lǐ Jiāhéng). Wu was born and raised in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.
He immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the age of 10 with his mother. In 2005, at the age of 15, he returned to China and attended Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School for a short period. In Guangzhou, he served as the captain of the school basketball team. The team had won 1st place in China Junior NBA tournament-South China Region that year. After that, he went back to Vancouver. Then he attended Point Grey Secondary School and Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. He was also the captain of the basketball teams when he studied in these two schools.
Kris (television show)
Kris is a former talk show broadcast on the Fox network hosted by Kris Jenner. It premiered on 15 July 2013 on Fox stations in Los Angeles; New York City; Charlotte, North Carolina; Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Phoenix, Arizona. The show finished its six-week trial on August 23, 2013. The show was not picked up for a full season. On January 17, 2014, FOX officially announced that the show had been cancelled.
