Montana

Montana ⁱ/mɒnˈtænə/ is a state in the Western region of the United States. The state's name is derived from the Spanish word montaña (mountain). Montana has several nicknames, although none official, including "Big Sky Country" and "The Treasure State", and slogans that include "Land of the Shining Mountains" and more recently "The Last Best Place". Montana is ranked 4th in size, but 44th in population and 48th in population density of the 50 United States. The western third of Montana contains numerous mountain ranges. Smaller island ranges are found throughout the state. In total, 77 named ranges are part of the Rocky Mountains.

The economy is primarily based on agriculture, including ranching and cereal grain farming. Other significant economic activities include oil, gas, coal and hard rock mining, lumber, and the fastest-growing sector, tourism. The health care, service, and government sectors also are significant to the state's economy. Millions of tourists annually visit Glacier National Park, the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, and Yellowstone National Park.

Montana is an American crime film released in 1998, directed by Jennifer Leitzes, written by Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber, and produced by Sean Cooley, Zane W. Levitt, and Mark Yellen.

Plot

Claire (Kyra Sedgwick) is a professional hit woman who has been targeted by her own organization. Her boss (Robbie Coltrane) gives her a low level task of retrieving his runaway girlfriend Kitty (Robin Tunney). Once Claire tracks down Kitty, she is unable to stop her from killing the boss' incompetent son (Ethan Embry).

Montana wine

Montana wine refers to wine made from grapes grown in the U.S. state of Montana. There are eight wineries in Montana, with most producing wine from fruits other than grapes or from grapes grown in other states, such as California, Oregon, or Washington. There are no American Viticultural Areas in Montana.

Montana's BBQ & Bar (originally and in some cases, still branded as Montana's Cookhouse) is a Canadian restaurant that is famous for in-house smoked pork Ribs, Fresh AAA Steaks, and Juicy Burgers. It is headquartered in Vaughan, Ontario and a subsidiary of Cara Operations.

Operations

Montana's is known for their ribs, steaks and other lodge fare. The restaurant aims to be a family/casual concept, rather than fine dining. The theme of the restaurant is of a lodge/wilderness setting and they try to provide guests with an escape to simpler times. Montana's has been promoted in TV ads consisting of a mounted buck and moose hunting trophies conversing about the restaurant.

They have 94 restaurants located in all the Canadian provinces except Quebec and Prince Edward Island (where the chain withdrew), and none in the three territories. As of February 2009, Montana's closed their United States locations in Michigan and New York. It is reported that as of 2010, the busiest restaurant was located in South Common, Edmonton, Alberta, though Fort McMurray and a few other stores in Ontario had surpassed South Common, it has since reclaimed the title as busiest montanas in 2015.
