Montù (or Montuni) is an Italian wine grape variety that is grown in the Emilia region of central Italy. While ampelographers believe that the grape is indigenous to the plains of the Po river, its numbers have been steadily declining with 1200 hectares (3000 acres) reported in 1990.
There is some confusion about the color of the grapes with the Vitis International Variety Catalogue describing Montù as a blanc grape, while wine expert Jancis Robinson and writers Joe Bastianich and David Lynch describe the grape as a red wine variety. According to Italian wine laws, Montù is a permitted variety in the white Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC) wine of Montuni del Reno.
Along the banks of the Reno river in Emilia-Romagna, Montù is the primary variety in the white DOC wine of Montuni del Reno. Here the grape must make up at least 85% of the blend with other non-aromatic local white grape varieties permitted to make up the remainder. The wine can be made in both a still and semi-sparkling frizzante style. Grapes destined for DOC production must be harvested with to yield no greater than 18 tonnes/hectares with the finished wine needing to attaining a minimum alcohol level of 10.5%.
Mons (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃s]; Dutch: Bergen "mountains"; Picard: Mont) is a Belgian city and municipality, and the capital of the province of Hainaut. The Mons municipality includes the former communes of Cuesmes, Flénu, Ghlin, Hyon, Nimy, Obourg, Baudour (partly), Jemappes, Ciply, Harmignies, Harveng, Havré, Maisières, Mesvin, Nouvelles, Saint-Denis, Saint-Symphorien, Spiennes, Villers-Saint-Ghislain, Casteau (partly), Masnuy-Saint-Jean (partly), and Ville-sur-Haine (partly). The first signs of activity in the region of Mons are found at Spiennes, where some of the best flint tools in Europe were found dating from the Neolithic period. When Julius Caesar arrived in the region in the 1st century BC, the region was settled by the Nervii, a Belgian tribe. A castrum was built in Roman (Belgica) times, giving the settlement its Latin name Castrilocus; the name was later changed into Montes for the mountain on which the castrum was built. In the 7th century, Saint Ghislain and two of his disciples built an oratory or chapel dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul near the Mons hill, at a place called Ursidongus, now known as Saint-Ghislain. Soon after, Saint Waltrude (in French Sainte Waudru), daughter of one of Clotaire II’s intendants, came to the oratory and was proclaimed a saint upon her death in 688. She was canonized in 1039.

You smacked her right between her blue eyes
You didn't think ahead yeah that's what he said
Then everyone of us just turned our backs to him and said
That was not a nice thing to do
I can't believe he was so cruel
But you love your brothers no matter what they say
Yeah you love your brothers no matter what kind of games you play
And it's gonna rain - that's what they say
But we're just gonna cover our heads
And we ain't coming out until we're dead
Oh no
And It's gonna drown all of our sins
But we don't wanna loose what we got
No we don't wanna loose what we own oh no
This stinking alley's full of old cats and dogs
They got no money and they got no home
Once I was one of them but now I'm on my own
It feels so good to be an outlaw
In your perfect world
'Cause you love your brothers no matter what they say
Yeah you love your brothers no matter what kind of games you play
And it's gonna rain - that's what they say
But we're just gonna cover our heads
And we ain't coming out until we're dead
Oh no
And it's gonna drown all of our sins
But we don't want to loose what we got
No we don't want to loose what we own oh no
And it's gonna rain and thats for sure
Yeah it's gonna rain and that's for shure
It's gonna rain and that's for sure
