Comè

Comè is a town and arrondissement located in the Mono Department of Benin. The commune covers an area of 163 square kilometres and as of 2012 had a population of 33,507 people. It was home to a refugee camp for Togolese refugees until it was closed in 2006.

COM file

A COM file is a type of simple executable file. On the Digital Equipment operating systems of the 1970s, .COM was used as a filename extension for text files containing commands to be issued to the operating system (similar to a batch file). With the introduction of CP/M (a microcomputer operating system), the type of files commonly associated with COM extension changed to that of executable files. This convention was later carried over to MS-DOS. Even when complemented by the more general .exe file format for executables, the compact COM files remain viable and frequently used in MS-DOS.

The .COM file name extension has no relation to the .com (for "commercial") top-level Internet domain name. However, this similarity in name has been exploited by malicious computer virus writers.

MS-DOS binary format

The COM format is the original binary executable format used in CP/M and MS-DOS. It is very simple; it has no header (with the exception of CP/M 3 files), and contains no standard metadata, only code and data. This simplicity exacts a price: the binary has a maximum size of 65,280 (FF00h) bytes (256 bytes short of 64 KB) and stores all its code and data in one segment.

JPEG

JPEG (/ˈdʒeɪpɛɡ/ JAY-peg) is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital images, particularly for those images produced by digital photography. The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.

JPEG compression is used in a number of image file formats. JPEG/Exif is the most common image format used by digital cameras and other photographic image capture devices; along with JPEG/JFIF, it is the most common format for storing and transmitting photographic images on the World Wide Web. These format variations are often not distinguished, and are simply called JPEG.

The term "JPEG" is an abbreviation for the Joint Photographic Experts Group, which created the standard. The MIME media type for JPEG is image/jpeg, except in older Internet Explorer versions, which provides a MIME type of image/pjpeg when uploading JPEG images. JPEG files usually have a filename extension of .jpg or .jpeg.

Moneycontrol.com

Moneycontrol.com is an Indian business news and online trading website acquired by TV18's subsidiary E-EIGHTEEN Dot Com (P) Ltd in 2000. Prior to the acquisition the website was owned by Victor Fernandes and Sangeeta Fernandes. They were given 7.5% of the equity capital and E-18 got 92.5% following the acquisition.

Mathew Easow, an investment adviser active on the site was fined by Securities and Exchange Board of India in September 2006 for giving misleading recommendations. In the same year the website launched Moneybhai Investor, a virtual stock market game where players could deal in real-time. The website has also helped in organising investor's camps.

In July 2007, Hutch and Moneycontrol.com launched stock alerts packs. In October of the same year, the Delhi High Court ordered it to stop publishing articles from Mint after Mint's owner HT Media filed a copyright infringement suit. "Vaishya", a stock simulation event was conducted by Moneycontrol.com at PSG College of Technology's annual fest in February 2008. The website underwent a makeover in July 2008 based on viewers' feedbacks. The government of Maharashtra blocked Moneycontrol.com and bseindia.com in its headquarter Mantralaya in January 2010 following complaints that employees' use of these websites for online trading was affecting regular work. In 2010 Intuit Money Manager, a financial software was launched by Intuit Inc. and Moneycontrol.com, which provided a free 90-days trial. The software enabled users to keep all their investment related information at one place and also calculate tax returns. After the trial ended ₹ 1 was charged per day. Moneycontrol.com was hacked on 6 November 2010 and a malicious code was inserted which redirected to an exploit website Brenz.pl.
