Modern Day Zero
Modern Day Zero is a hard rock band based in St. Louis, Missouri. Formerly called Mesh—changed to Mesh STL after the name-conflict with Mesh—the band renamed and restarted as Modern Day Zero. Their single, "Sick Inside," from their first album, Coming Up for Air, spent eight weeks as the most-requested song on St. Louis-area alternative rock radio station KPNT. Modern Day Zero has had songs included on video games NHL 2004 and NASCAR Thunder 2004 and has toured with bands such as Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Velvet Revolver, Hoobastank, and Guns N' Roses.
History
Mesh (1995-2001)
In June 1995, Brian Pearia and Jay Wells of the Saint Charles, Missouri-based band Ten Stories Tall were in search of a new lead singer after losing theirs. They approached Scott Gertken while he was singing and playing rhythm guitar for a Foristell, Missouri-based band called Trailer. Gertken first declined the position, but when Trailer disbanded a few months later he joined up Pearia, Criebaum, and Pat Ryan. The group considered calling themselves Zero Hour before settling on Mesh instead. The band began playing shows at local bars and clubs with sets composed popular radio hits and some of their original music. By 1998, they had enough of their own material to play all-original shows. In 1998, lead guitarist Pat Ryan left the band and was replaced by Scott Davis. Mesh traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, in 1998 and entered the studio in with producer Malcolm Springer to record their first EP. That same year Mesh saw their first radio hit with "Clear Day" from their Ripple Effect EP, which went on to sell more than 10,000 copies. In 2000, Mesh added additional guitarist Matt Arana to complete the group. Mesh had moved from being a cover band that played around St. Charles to becoming a popular regional group.

The critical and popular success of the Fox television series 24 has led to the series being extended into other arenas, primarily media specifically created for mobile devices and the internet. In addition, the series has spawned video and board games, toys, soundtracks from both the series and the video game, and a number of original novels inspired by the series. Fact : No other television show in history has had this amount of various merchandise produced. From games (video and non-video), books, paperback novels, graphic novels, comics, action figures, trading cards, etc. There was even an energy drink made that was based on the show. 24 has even had its own bi-monthly official magazine that lasted for two years.

24: Conspiracy is a low budget, cellphone-only spin-off of 24 set in Washington, D.C. It spans 24 one-minute episodes and takes place during Day 4, as indicated by a reference to the Heller kidnapping happening that day. It does not take place in real time. All of the episodes were released together as a special for the season 4 DVD boxset.
Day Zero
Day Zero is a 2007 American film directed by Bryan Gunnar Cole and written by Robert Malkani. Set in the near future when global terrorism has forced the military to reinstate the draft, three young men, who have just received their induction notices and have 30 days to report for duty, must battle their political views before making a decision that will change their lives forever.
This is American director Cole's debut film. It premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and opened in limited release in the United States on January 18, 2008. The film stars Elijah Wood, Chris Klein and Jon Bernthal. It also features Ginnifer Goodwin, Sofia Vassilieva, Elisabeth Moss and Ally Sheedy.
Plot
In the future America, the military draft has been reinstated to fight the war on terror. The country's conflicting attitudes toward war are examined through the eyes of Aaron (Wood), George (Klein), and Dixon (Bernthal). The three friends have been given induction notices and have 30 days to report for duty. Feeling unprepared but convinced that he must serve, novelist Aaron embarks on a quest to prepare for the life of a soldier — enlisting the help of a collapsing Bowflex machine and a disengaged therapist (Sheedy).
