MMC-2

Mobile Module Connector 2 (MMC-2) is Intel's 400 pin processor cartridge used with Pentium II, Celeron and Pentium III mobile processors. It contains CPU, 443BX (Pentium II) Northbridge, L2 Cache (early P-II only) and voltage regulator. It is successor of MMC-1, main differences being AGP interface and 100 MHz FSB for the Pentium III.

3-Methylmethcathinone

3-Methylmethcathinone, also known as 3-MMC, is a designer drug from the substituted cathinone family, with stimulant effects. 3-MMC is closely related in structure to the popular illicit drug mephedrone (4-MMC), and is illegal in most countries that have banned 3-mephedrone as it is a structural isomer of 4-mephedrone. However 3-MMC has still appeared on the "legal high" market as an alternative to mephedrone, and was first identified being sold in Sweden in 2012. Unlike other legal highs 3-MMC was tested and characterized in large mammals, providing much more knowledge about it than other substances.

As of October 2015 3-MMC is a controlled substance in China.

3-MMC is banned in the Czech Republic.

Mephedrone

Mephedrone, also known as 4-methyl methcathinone (4-MMC) or 4-methyl ephedrone, is a synthetic stimulant drug of the amphetamine and cathinone classes. Slang names include drone,M-CAT,White Magic and meow meow. It is chemically similar to the cathinone compounds found in the khat plant of eastern Africa. It comes in the form of tablets or a powder, which users can swallow, snort or inject, producing similar effects to MDMA, amphetamines and cocaine.

In addition to its stimulant effects, mephedrone produces side effects, of which teeth grinding is the most common. The metabolism of mephedrone has been studied in rats and humans and the metabolites can be detected in urine after usage.

Mephedrone was first synthesised in 1929, but did not become widely known until it was rediscovered in 2003 at which point it was legal to produce and possess in many countries. By 2007, mephedrone was reported to be available for sale on the internet, by 2008 law enforcement agencies had become aware of the compound, and by 2010, it had been reported in most of Europe, becoming particularly prevalent in the United Kingdom. Mephedrone was first made illegal in Israel in 2008, followed by Sweden later that year. In 2010, it was made illegal in many European countries and in December 2010, the EU ruled it illegal. In Australia, New Zealand and the USA, it is considered an analog of other illegal drugs and can be controlled by laws similar to the Federal Analog Act. In September 2011, the USA temporarily classified mephedrone as illegal, in effect from October 2011.

MMC64

The MMC64 is a cartridge for the C64 home computer, which plugs into the expansion port. It was developed in 2005 by Oliver Achten, production and sale is done by the Commodore hardware accessory company Individual Computers, although the MMC64 is sold by other retailers as well.

Hardware Features

The MMC64 serves as a read/write interface for FAT16 and FAT32 (since BIOS V1.04) formatted MMC and SD flash memory media. It can handle almost all media up to 4 GByte, however some cards are completely incompatible and result red or black screen in power up. The MMC64 is a solution for Commodore users to transfer data between the Commodore 64 and a PC. The PC does not need to have a parallel port, which is a requirement for the popular x1541 interface.

It has a pass-through expansion port, allowing to use another cartridge together with the MMC64.

The MMC64 also provides an Amiga style clock port for extra hardware, supporting the RRnet Ethernet interface and the "mp3@c64", which allows playing of mp3 files from the flash memory.
