Miyal Syedan
Miyal Syedan is a village located in Rawalpindi Tehsil Punjab Pakistan. It is in Chountra region and it belongs to Potohar town. It is almost 21 kilometers from Chakbeli khan and about 75 kilometers from Rawalpindi on Rawalpindi Chakwal boundary.
History
It is the village owned by Syed tribe. An Islamic personality baba Hazrat Shah Abdullah is believed to the first person to settle here and started to live here as water was easily available. He purchased almost 5,875 acres (23.78 km2). He had seven sons. Imam Shah, Sultan Shah, Nishan Ali Shah, Budhay Shah, Haider Shah, Abdullah Shah. They all settled here. Thereafter, Hindus and Sikhs of surrounding areas came here along with other Muslim tribes like Maliar, Awan, Choudhary, and other castes. During the British raj, these Muslim tribes (especially Syeds) were badly affected and their ownership of land and other resources started to decrease rapidly. After 1857, the Hindus took over control in terms of power but soon after independence Pakistan Muslims and especially Sadaat again emereged as powerful. As of now, there are many casts are there.
