Mission to Please is the 27th album by The Isley Brothers on Island Records released on May 14, 1996. This album was a return to commercial glory for the band in the years following their last platinum-certified album, 1983's Between the Sheets as it also was certified platinum based on the strength of the charted singles "Let's Lay Together", their first R. Kelly collaboration after the success of their duet together, "Down Low", the Babyface-composed ballad, "Tears", the Ronald and Angela Winbush-duet collaboration, "Floatin' On Your Love", and the mid-'90s quiet storm radio staple, "Mission to Please You". Some of the success came off the fact that Ronald had cultivated a new image as the video villain, "Mr. Biggs", in a series of R. Kelly videos starting with "Down Low" helping to re-introduce the music of the Isley Brothers to a new generation of R&B fans. This is also noted as being the last album to feature youngest brother, Marvin Isley, as he would leave the group a year later due to diabetes and die on June 6, 2010. It also helped relaunch their label T-Neck Records.
(Chorus)
My mission's to pelase you
My aim it to keep you
I'm gonna love you
Woa-woa
Open up your windows, girl
And let the breeze blow through
No tellin' what love has
In store for me and you
I'm sensitive to all you want
And everything your body needs
I can read your every thought
I can tell you'r ready for me
I'm so glad that love
Has chosen you and me
(Chorus x 2)
So happy to be here with you
No other place I'd rather be
Than touching every part of your body
Feeling your sweet lips all over me
And I'm so glad that love
Has chosen you and me
(Chorus x 2)
Anything you want
Anything you need
Anything to please you
Girl, I'm on a mission for you
(Chorus)
