Miqdad ibn Amr al-Bahráni (Arabic: مقداد بن عمرو البهرائي) was one of the Sahabah of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Miqdad ibn Aswad is among Muslims was regarded as one of the most respected Sahaba. He was one of the Muhajirun.
Miqdad belonged to an Arabian tribe named Bahra originally from Hadramout Yemen. He escaped from his tribe after injuring someone and inhabited Mecca. In Mecca, Miqdad belonged to a man named al-Aswad Al Kindi. Miqdad was a very brave young man when he went to Mecca. In Arabia people loved brave and strong men, Aswad Alkindi did not have any children, So one day he stood amongst all tribes of Quraish and said "I am declaring that from this day on Miqdad as my son, and his name is now Miqdad ibn Alaswad Alkindi after I die he will inherit me" So, people started calling him Miqdad ibn Aswad al-Kindi, rather than Miqdad ibn Amr. It was a way Arabs showed their love towards someone. Islam rose from the top of the Hira Mount. Miqdad ibn Aswad al-Kindi became twenty-four years old. He heard about Muhammad’s mission. He hurried to believe in the new religion. He kept his Islam a secret, and was part of the Muhajreen who fled from the punishments of Quraish. He met Muhammad secretly. Thus, he was among the earlier Muslims. He always felt the Muslims' sufferings.
When your faith in life is gone
Come and speak to me
When you're down and all messed up
Seek my sympathy
And everybody says no, no, no
Well it's your misfortune and none of my own
Wrong, wrong, wrong
Well it's, your misfortune that sweetens my song
I can be the friend you want
I can be your confidant
I can be the
right reminder at the right time
Throwing out the life line
Stand in the light, stand in the light, stand in the light (x2)
When your face is caked in mud
Come and speak to me
When the chill creeps in your blood
Seek my sympathy
When everybody say no, no, no
Well it's your misfortune and none of my own
Wrong, wrong, wrong
Well it's your mistfortune that sweetens my song
I can be the air you drink
Every single though you think
I can be the right notion in the mean time
Warm you like the sunshine
