Mini ramp

A mini ramp is a type of half-pipe which is typically less than 6 ft (1.8 m) high. Any ramp smaller than this that is not a vert ramp and is commonly called a mini ramp. Mini ramps can be as small as 2 ft (0.61 m) in height. While many ramps this size are designed to be forgiving to beginners, some are built more aggressively, providing a steeper ledge for experienced riders to perfect lip tricks. These ramps are appropriate for beginners as well, though they may find it necessary to work their way up from the bottom, as on larger half pipes.

Typically a mini ramp is used more for lip tricks (performed on the coping) than aerial tricks. This is because when performing airs on a mini ramp, one must ollie in order to avoid sailing over or onto the deck. On a vert ramp, the ollie is not necessarily a part of airs, as the vertical wall keeps the rider over the transition. Many public skateparks will choose to provide a mini ramp because it is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced riders. Mini ramps can be considered an efficient use of space in a skate park as the rider can execute many tricks/maneuvers and spent many minutes riding nonstop in such a small, finite space

"Mini" is the fifth episode of the sixth series of the British teen drama Skins. It premiered on E4 in the UK on 20 February 2012. The episode is told from the point of view of character Mini McGuinness.

Mini's hates her mum's pervy new live-in boyfriend, and to make matters worse, Alo has broken the rules of their 'no strings attached' secret relationship and declared his love for her. Mini feels trapped; she's lost control of her life and needs to get away. Ignoring advice from her mum and Liv, she seeks refuge with her dad, who's never been around that much, but promises it'll be different this time. He sweeps Mini into his glamorous and grown-up world where she feels a million miles away from her problems, but Mini has a bigger problem that she can't run away from and will ultimately have to face on her own.

Plot

As Mini is having sex with Alo in a nightclub toilet, he breaks the terms of their 'no-strings-attached' relationship by declaring he loves her. Freaked out, she returns home, but is kept awake by her mother and her irritating new live-in boyfriend Eric having sex. After having an argument with her mother, Shelley, about it the next day, Mini calls her father Gregory, and arranges to meet up at a local aquarium. The meeting goes well, and Mini begins to rebuild her relationship with Gregory, to the chagrin of her mother. As she begins to integrate herself into his life, including arranging to go to Sydney, and flirt with his assistant, she begins distancing herself from her friends at school. However, she has been hiding a dark secret that she cannot hide forever - she is pregnant.

Variety (娯楽 (バラエティ)), a.k.a. Goraku is the third studio album by Japanese band Tokyo Jihen, released on September 26, 2007 in Japan through EMI Music Japan and Virgin Music. The album was produced by the band and Japanese recording engineer Uni Inoue. The album contains thirteen tracks and has spawned two singles. The lead single, "O.S.C.A.", was released in July 11, 2007. "Killer-tune" followed as the second single in August 22, 2007.

Background

Its thirteen tracks were carefully selected from a vast number of demos created by the band, with all tracks featuring music written by members other than lead vocalist Ringo Sheena. This was a different direction for the band, most of whose previous material had been composed by Ringo Sheena. The record includes seven tracks from guitarist Ukigumo, five tracks from keyboard player Ichiyo Izawa and one composed by bassist Seiji Kameda. Drummer Toshiki Hata was also asked to contribute, but he declined.

After the album's release, the song "Kingyo no Hako" was picked to be the film Mōryō no Hako's theme song.

Ramp is a Portuguese heavy metal band. They began their career in 1989. Their heavy metal is more similar to that which is played in America, rather than its European counterpart. They are often called the "Portuguese Metallica". One feature they were always capable of maintaining throughout their albums is originality. The peak of their career was undeniably in 1998/99, with the album "EDR" and the following promotional tour. In 2003, they released their first self-produced record, entitled "Nude". Ramp is one of the most influential metal bands in Portugal. In fashion, a runway, catwalk or ramp is a narrow, usually flat platform that runs into an auditorium or between sections of an outdoor seating area, used by models to demonstrate clothing and accessories during a fashion show. In fashion jargon, "what's on the catwalk" or similar phrasing can refer to whatever is new and popular in fashion. A runway could be as basic as a narrow space between rows of chairs or more elaborate setups with multiple catwalks. Most runway shows are held inside, for shelter against the weather, but there are times when runway shows are held outdoors. In the 2016 Paris Fashion Week, Chanel presented an elaborate setup by designing the hall as if it were an airport. The viewing guests sat as if they were awaiting their flights while the models walked around the airport approaching ticket counters.
