Michael Anthony "Mike" Williams (born 21 November 1969 in Bradford) is a professional footballer, who played for a number of teams during the 1990s, but is mostly remembered for his time at Sheffield Wednesday.
Michael Troy Williams (born January 4, 1984) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Williams played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), and received consensus All-American recognition. The Detroit Lions selected him in first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and he has also played for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks of the NFL.
Williams was born in Tampa, Florida. He attended Henry B. Plant High School in Tampa, and played both high school football and basketball for the Plant Panthers. As a senior, Williams had 38 receptions for 789 yards (20.8 average reception) with twelve touchdowns. Williams' honors included Tom Lemming All-American, Super Prep All-Dixie, PrepStar All-Southeast Region, St. Petersburg Times All-Suncoast second team, and Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County.
During his junior year, Williams made the all-state Class 4A second team while making 35 receptions for 803 yards (22.9 avg.) and 12 touchdowns.

Known as "Mercury," Williams turned pro in 1984 and was considered a rising prospect after winning his first 13 fights, including a win over James Tillis. In 1987 he stepped up and lost a split decision to former champion Tim Witherspoon. The following year he lost by TKO to Buster Douglas. In the 1990s he lost to other notable heavyweights Alex Garcia and Corrie Sanders, and retired in 2000 after a TKO loss to Lawrence Clay Bey, having won 22 and lost 6 with 14 KO.

Mike Williams (born February 6, 1965, Mancot) is a former Welsh professional footballer. He played in The Football League for Chester City and Wrexham as both a defender and a midfielder.
Williams had been with Everton as a schoolboy before playing for Hawarden Rangers, where he was spotted by Chester coach Cliff Sear. He made his Football League debut on May 8, 1982 in a 2–1 home defeat to Lincoln City in the number eight shirt. He had spells in and out of the first–team over the next two years, in a side that contained fellow homegrown youngsters such as Paul Blackwell, Peter Bulmer and Peter Zelem.
He made his final appearance for Chester against Bristol City on May 7, 1984 before he was released by manager John McGrath. During his time at Chester, Williams and team–mate John Allen had been set to join Chelsea on trial with a view to permanent transfers, but the deals collapsed after Williams was stretchered off in a match against Hartlepool United.
