Michael Dennis "Mike" Nahan (born 2 July 1950) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since 2008. He is the Western Australian Treasurer, Minister for Energy, and Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Interests.
Nahan was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1950 as one of 13 children and grew up on a small farm, later graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan. After arriving in Australia in the late 1970s, he received a doctorate in economics from the Australian National University having previously completed a master's degree in agricultural economics.
Nahan arrived in Western Australia in July 1982. He joined the Institute of Public Affairs, a right-wing think tank, as a policy director. Between 1995 and 2005 he was Executive Director of the IPA.
Nahan entered politics at the 2008 Western Australian state election when he defeated incumbent Labor MP Tony McRae for the seat of Riverton.
Nahan is a town in Himachal Pradesh in India and is the headquarters of the Sirmaur District. It is also the location of Indian Special Forces Training School. It was the capital of the former Sirmur princely state.

A well-laid out picturesque town, Nahan is situated on a hill top in the Shiwalik Hills, overlooking green hills. Traditionally, saints and princes are linked with the origin of Nahan. The city was founded as in 1621 by Raja Karam Prakash.. Another version recalls a saint who lived with a companion named Nahar on the site where the Nahan palace now stands. "Nahar" means Don't kill and the town probably takes its name from an incident when a king was trying to kill a lion and the saint said Nahar, that is do not kill it. The name of the saint was Baba Banwari Das.
